"Value matches the price paid, but the room was missing basic necessities such as tissue paper. The toilet was also not very user-friendly. Overall, it is still acceptable for a budget hotel and we can’t expect too much. However, one thing that really frustrated me was on the last day. Before we even reached the check-out time, the room card suddenly stopped working and we couldn’t access the lift or our room. This is ridiculous and not acceptable. Why would the hotel deactivate the card before check-out? Upon bringing this to the attention of front desk, they did not offer any apologies, just help to reactivate and act as if nothing happened."

Dining options around the hotel are quite convenient; there's a Starbucks, McDonald's, and Burger King right downstairs. If you use the underpass, you'll find even more dining choices. Next to Burger King, there's also a supermarket. The boat pier is just a short walk across the street, and attractions like Chapel Bridge are all within a 10-minute walk."

The room was simple but functional, with a comfortable bed and good soundproofing, allowing for a great night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out quick and easy. The location is excellent — close to the train station and within walking distance of the old town, Lake Lucerne, and major attractions. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for travelers looking for good value, convenience, and reliability in Lucerne. I would definitely stay here again."

Upon checking in and arriving at my room, I was surprised to find the door wide open, the windows also wide open, and a trash can sitting on a chair. I went back to the front desk to inquire if the room was still being cleaned. I was told it had already been cleaned, and I was instructed to simply move the trash can myself. Having stayed in numerous hotels both domestically and internationally, this was a first for me. The hotel appears to be newly renovated and is very clean. However, the amenities are quite basic; there's no mini-fridge or electric kettle. Furthermore, the curtains are just a sheer layer, with no blackout option, which definitely affected my sleep."

"As a B&B-style hotel, the family room we booked is more practical, with two bedrooms, a living room and a bathroom with a shower room. There is enough space for a family to live together, warm and comfortable. However, if you are traveling with friends, it is not very convenient. In the morning, when everyone has to wash and use the bathroom, the waiting time is really a bit long, which will delay a lot of itinerary arrangements. The check-in process is really not worry-free. There is no convenient password lock to get the key directly, and there is no conspicuous reception guide. After arriving, you can only call the management staff. If you don't speak the language, it will be more troublesome, so you have to find a platform to deal with it. The hotel is hidden in a building in a residential area, mixed with ordinary residents. The surrounding streets are quiet, but if you don't pay attention, you will go to the wrong unit entrance door. It is quite difficult to find it. It would be better if you can put more effort into the check-in guide. However, it is worth praising that the hotel's sanitation is well maintained, the room is clean, the bed is tidy, and the bathroom has no peculiar smell, which makes people feel more at ease. And there is no scary situation of someone knocking on the door in the middle of the night in other reviews, so there is still a sense of security. In general, Galaxy Apartment Hotel has room types suitable for family living and good hygiene and safety guarantees, but there is still a lot of room for improvement in the convenience of check-in."

"Lovely hotel with everything you need and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only downside is that it is on a busy and loud strip, so there is constant noise, especially if you open the window. But other than that, it’s a great hotel."

Shortly after midnight, I contacted the front desk for assistance with locating an Apple Store or confirming the train route to the airport, as my phone screen had just been damaged. The staff member on duty displayed impatience and a clear unwillingness to communicate. He repeatedly told me not to worry in front of him and to “figure it out myself,” which was both unhelpful and unprofessional. His information was also inconsistent—first claiming the Apple Store near the train station could repair phones, then insisting there was no Apple Store in the area. When I approached the reception directly for further assistance, he again refused to help. By contrast, the morning receptionist was courteous, patient, and provided clear guidance, including the fact that a train transfer was required to reach the airport—details the night staff had not mentioned. It is unfortunate that one staff member’s attitude overshadowed an otherwise positive experience. With more consistent and professional service across all shifts, this hotel would be an excellent choice for travelers."
