"A Hidden Gem Near Florence’s Main train station
I stayed three consecutive nights at this charming little hotel, just a short walk (5 mins) from the main train station in Florence. Its location made it incredibly easy to take day trips to nearby cities—perfect for exploring Tuscany without the hassle.
The staff were consistently friendly, and helpful, which made the stay even more pleasant. While the room wasn’t very spacious, the bed was exceptionally comfortable—ideal after long days of sightseeing.
There’s also a private spa area that was clean and relaxing, with a surprisingly strong jacuzzi. A nice touch that added to the overall experience."

"Strategically well located, within 3-5 minutes from the Firenze station. With lots food options at reasonably and budget priced. For instance, just outside the hotel, less than a min walk, a Chinese no frills restaurant provides a good Asian spread of Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese Ramen and fusion at competitive prices. Mcdonald is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Other Italian restaurants are found within 3-5 mins walk from the hotel. Though, this place is busy and bustly, it is rather safe to move around. The security system in the hotel is good and rather peaceful. Staff are excellent with good knowledge of The city of Florence. The Duomo (see Pic) is about 10mins walk from the hotel. Further down, about 5 mins walk, you can access the Uffizy Gallery with great Art collection of the Renaissance era. Also, you can take a 10 mins walk via the Firenze station to access coaches for our daily tours and Designer’s factory outlet at The Mall. No regrets booking Cosimo for comfort and convenience for our great Florentine experience."

"Wonderful stay at B&B Hotel Firenze Laurus al Duomo and would stay here again. We walked from Firenze Santa Maria Novella with a large check in and hand luggage each with no major issues, mostly flat path except a small section of the walk had uneven path but the 500m distance from the station is definitely manageable.
First impressions and experience arriving at the hotel were excellent. Cute artsy decor with a lounge area in the lobby and first floor. Reception ladies were so friendly and welcoming and were ready to help us with the door and luggage as soon as they saw us arrive. Hotel is clean with a comfortable bed, great air conditioning system and provides a reasonable amount of amenities for our stay including a mini fridge and heated towel rack as an added bonus. Would have preferred a rain shower in our bathroom but by all means not an issue as the water pressure was still very strong and liked there were doors for the shower so water does not leak onto the floor.
Location is fantastic! A block away from the Duomo and you can even see if from your room if you have booked a room with a view, otherwise at breakfast you can see it on the outside terrace. Also, central to a department store, designer stores, local supermarket and abundance of food options nearby. The location also feels safe to be walking around after dinner."

"We loved this hotel for its location, convenience, cleanliness and the wonderful room. The staff was well trained and helped us with all our requests. The room had great amenities and was spacious. The quality of the breakfast buffet was about average. Most of the hotels in Italy don’t focus much on making various types of eggs(boiled and scrambled) still, they have good choices and even a pancake maker machine. It was fun to prepare them. "stayed just one night at this hotel during my trip to Florence. The room was quite small, which might be a downside for longer stays, but it was clean and well-kept. The real highlight, though, was the rooftop terrace — the panoramic view over Florence was absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, and a good overall experience for a short stay. "Our room was located near the stairs and we were woken up by people passing by at night and in the morning. The towels provided by the hotel had some unknown and disgusting items on them, I attached the pictures. Other than that, everything was good."

"This is a 4-star hotel. The location is absolutely perfect.
1. It's directly across from the Firenze S.M. train station, literally just a crosswalk away, which is incredibly convenient.
2. You can walk to the Duomo in just 12 minutes, and the route is lined with shops where you can buy and eat things.
Be aware that because it's near the train station square, there are quite a few homeless people around.
Service: The staff member who checked us in was very friendly and personable.
Facilities: The bathroom was very clean, and all the amenities were complete and worked well.
Great value for money: We were very pleasantly surprised to find that our room had a balcony with a view (as pictured). The balcony was also quite large, with a coffee table and two rattan chairs.
This hotel made our stay in Florence even more comfortable and enjoyable.

"A very clean hotel with breakfast included. The front desk staff were always incredibly welcoming. It's conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk to major attractions and a 15-minute walk from the train station. Given that hotels in Southern Italy can be quite expensive, this place offers excellent value for money. While the facilities are a bit basic, it's very clean and tidy. Booking through Ctrip was also very convenient. Definitely recommended!"

Nice room, but hidden fees and disappointing location
The room itself was beautiful — clean, stylishly decorated, and comfortable for a solo traveller, even if it was a little smaller than expected. So credit where it’s due: the physical space was lovely.
Unfortunately, a few things really affected my stay. I was asked for a €50 per night deposit upon check-in, which came as a complete surprise. This was not mentioned anywhere when I booked, and it hit hard as a solo traveller on a tight budget. I lost €100 before I even saw the city, and it honestly dampened the whole experience.
The staff at check-in were cold and not welcoming at all, which made the arrival feel awkward. Thankfully, check-out was much better — the person on the desk was kind and friendly, which helped leave things on a slightly better note.
As for location: it’s not ideal. The hotel is tucked behind the main train station down some pretty dirty, sketchy-feeling streets. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the Duomo, and for the price I paid, I expected to be much closer to the centre.
Overall, the hotel itself is fine — but in the wrong location and definitely the wrong price bracket. Unless the prices come down and they’re more transparent about deposits, I wouldn’t stay here again."

The hotel room is small size double, we had a room with a pool view and a balcony, very clean, bed linen are change evry day, pool is small, but we were lucky to find sunlounges when we need it, but most of the time the pool area was full.
Breakfast îs very very good, plenty choices, quality food, fresh juices, even ice cream... 🙂
The only thing we prefered was a shower instead of bath and perhaps the bath panel bath longer lenght as the bath become a pool, the panel does not hold the water spray

XXDLiuFacilities: The room is not big, but very comfortable. The hotel building has nothing to do with Brooks. The interior design is very comfortable. The hotel has two restaurants, Michelin 2 stars! I ordered a dish that was really good.

Environment: convenient. In the old center of Florence, 5 minutes between the Dome and the Town Hall. 15 minutes walk to the train station. Also relatively quiet.

I even went up to the rooftop in the morning to snap some photos; you get a nice view of the city's buildings, and it's definitely a photogenic spot. The room key had a distinctively large tag, which I found quite charming.

1. The hotel is far from the hustle and bustle and is relatively quiet, which means that it is more troublesome to go to the city center. There will be 3 shuttle buses in the morning and 3 in the afternoon to the city entrance. Of course, there will be 3 return trips in the afternoon (the hotel charges €2.50/trip).
The sound insulation of the room is poor, and sometimes it is even a bit noisy.
The location of this hotel is a bit remote. If you take a taxi to the city, it is basically €23-€35 [I have taken prices in this range. The train station (Santa Maria Novella Station) to the hotel is €32-€35, and the city to the hotel is in the €23-€32 range]
2. The hotel has a snack bar/bar (Snack Bar) with very high hamburger prices. I didn’t eat all day because I was in a hurry to catch the train on the day I arrived. I ordered a hamburger for €20/piece and tiramisu for €10/portion. The speed of serving the food was really super slow. The main restaurant and breakfast are at the same dining place-the dinner menu is relatively small and the price is relatively expensive. It is not recommended. I was traveling alone, so I had dinner at the hotel for several meals (I was afraid that it would be unsafe to stay out too late).
3. The front desk service was generally good. All questions were answered.
4. There is no swimming pool on the cover of the hotel (it has been demolished for a long time). I was attracted to the swimming pool and chose this hotel. However, there is now a waterfall in the open courtyard for viewing.
5. If you don’t drive yourself, I don’t recommend you to stay at this hotel because the transportation is inconvenient and you basically can’t avoid the need to take a taxi unless your daily itinerary is completely based on the shuttle bus pick-up time. Of course, if you don’t care about that little money, please feel free to do so~

Cons:the noise of morning workers cleaning or making deliveries in the morning (7-8am) and tourist making their way through the alleys and streets to or from hotels, bar, etc. will carry to tour room... maybe disrupting your sleep. Also, if you're going to arrive after the reception closes it can get tricky or stressful as you have to reach out an on-call reception person (in my case it took 3 dials in to hear from them, I got delayed 20min. on the road and the person left and have to call again). The lock of my room and for the constant slamming of doors rooms seem to be a bit tricky to operate. Finally, the safe in my room was looked at my arrival, so I couldn't use it. Not the best value and wouldn't recommend it.

On the plus side, it's very close to the train station, and within walking distance of the art gallery, cathedral, and good spots to watch the sunset. What's even better, it's right at the entrance of Chinatown, making it incredibly convenient for enjoying Chinese food and browsing the Chinese supermarket. I even found the best-tasting water I've ever had on a trip at the Chinese supermarket – I was so happy about that! However, watch out for that ice cream shop on the same street – it's a total rip-off!

The only drawback is that there is no elevator, which makes it difficult to move luggage, but the front desk and staff are very enthusiastic and will help move.

FFionFionIt was a very pleasant stay, although I didn't get to spend much time in the hotel as I was just in Florence for one night, breakfast was nice with variety of choices, staff were friendly and can speak English, room was clean, AC was working perfectly, everything including the duomo was in walkable distance (only like 10 mins walk to the duomo).
I had to leave the room key to the reception everytime
I leave the hotel which felt a bit strange at first, however apparently this is a norm there as my brothers who were staying at another hotel at the time had to do the same as well.
Last but not least, you can have a fantastic view of the city at rooftop of hotel, especially nice to see the sunrise!
Will definitely stay here again, highly recommended!

The breakfast is rich and tastes good. There are many choices of drinks and desserts.
The price-performance ratio is very high.
The disadvantage is that for a single room, although the bathroom is of a suitable size, the shower room is very small. In fact, the bidet next to it is a bit redundant. The shower room in the expansion city is better.
