I chose this guesthouse because it was close to Hongdae (about 10 minds by walk) and very cheap. I was worried before making a reservation bc there were some bad reviews. But it turns out to be the best decision I've ever made! Everything was neat and organized, and the view was really good. There were a lot of non tourist places and neighborhood is quiet and safe. The staff lady was super nice and gave me the free meal coupon for the local restaurant. I will def stay here if I ever come back to South Korea :))
It's great that there is a large yellow statue in front of the Local Stitch Creator Town Seogyo, so it's easier to find at night. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from Hongik U subway station (directly connects to the Airport Rail /AREX also) so it's very convenient to be right on Line 2 and easy to get to the airports.
Very cool co-working space and boutique hotel vibe here and if you don't mind the high tub (quite a balancing act to get in and out of the shower) it's a great value for money here. I wish I had more time to explore the recommended places from their lobby bulletin board, but I will have to save that for next time. Nice quiet area too with restaurants and a variety of convenience stores around. Comfy, clean, close to busy parts of Hongdae. Highly recommend.
