"The bedding in the room was comfortable, and it was a great experience for two people. The whole place was clean and tidy, the location was convenient, and it offered good value for money. The only downside: booking in advance was a great deal, but extending our stay last minute was very expensive. The hotel policy required us to book an additional night to extend our stay, and extending for just one night wasn't supported. Travelers with flexible itineraries should keep this in mind."

"My stay at HOTEL BOTANIK's Deluxe King Room in Myeongdong exceeded my expectations. The room had a modern, apartment-style feel with brand new facilities and full amenities, making it ideal for those planning a longer stay in Seoul. The in-room amenities were definitely the highlight. The air conditioning had a control panel for temperature adjustment, and it came equipped with an AirDresser, a washer-dryer combo, a separate fridge and freezer, an induction hob, and a microwave oven. Inside the cabinets, there was even a wine cooler, wine glasses, and mugs, giving it the feel of a small boutique apartment. Charging was also convenient, with both USB and Type-C outlets available, and the bidet toilet had a full range of functions. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation design, and the water pressure was consistent, making for a very comfortable shower. However, there were a few things to note: The kitchenware provided was quite basic, with only two plates, which might be insufficient if you plan to do a lot of cooking. Also, laundry detergent wasn't provided in the room, but you could purchase it at the front desk if needed. There are several construction sites near the hotel, but surprisingly, the soundproofing was excellent during my stay, with no noticeable noise at night. My sleep quality was quite peaceful. Overall, this hotel is more of a ”high-functional type” accommodation. The facilities are new and highly practical, feeling more like staying in a well-designed apartment than a traditional hotel. It made for a very comfortable stay."

"I’ve excellent experienced during my stay here at Bellus Hotel. The hotel’s owner (Mr. Chon) was unexpectedly very humble and kind which he himself brought us to the place where my family n I can get a beautiful spring spots in Seoul. The hotel’s reception also very helpful and kind👍👍 very recommended you to stay here since the hotel is nearest to the airport transfer checkpoint (Bus 6013: Jangan Hill Officetel — 2 minutes walk distance)"

"Stay at SL Myeongdong for 3 nights. Location is quite good, in between Myeongdong and ChungMuro station (~6 mins walk). Airport bus stops for 6001 and 6015 located near the two stations. Frontdesk is efficient and friendly. Room is bright, relatively small but equipped with washing machine, dryer and a full-size fridge. Bed was comfy, but pillows were too soft. Hotel is new but the cleaning/maintenance can be better, cos some marks can be seen on the tiles. On the first night, we noticed a bit of blood stain on the side of the bedsheet, which they promptly changed after feedback. Overall a good place to stay in Seoul near Myeongdong."

"We stayed at Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun for 3 days and 2 nights, and later booked another 2 days and 1 night after our staycation at Nami Island. • Front desk service: The staff spoke English well and were very accommodating. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage during our Nami Island trip since we had another booking at the same hotel. • Room quality: The room was clean and spacious. However, I personally didn’t like the wooden floor—it felt a bit uncomfortable to walk on without room slippers. • Location: The hotel is centrally located in the city, within walking distance to Bukchon Hanok Village and Gyeongbokgung Palace, and close to several subway stations. • Food options nearby: Plenty of choices, from traditional Korean BBQ to fast food like Burger King. Just note that many restaurants close around 9–10 PM. ✨ Overall: A convenient city hotel with friendly staff, good service, and easy access to major attractions. The luggage storage service was especially helpful for our trip planning."

"Traveling with kids means location, transport, and dining options, catering to both crowds and quiet spots, are all key considerations. First off, the location was perfect – the airport shuttle drops you right at the hotel, just across the street. We noticed fewer Chinese guests and more European and American visitors. Right opposite the hotel, there's Olive Young, McDonald's, and a fried chicken joint. To the left and right of the hotel entrance, you'll find a 7-Eleven on each side. The streets behind the hotel are packed with restaurants. Just about 200 meters to the left of the hotel entrance is Mapo Subway Station, which is only one stop from Yeouido Department Store – super convenient. If you head right from the hotel, you'll reach Gongdeok Subway Station, where you can find the popular Egg Drop sandwiches, which are a great value for breakfast. The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste, so it's a good idea to bring your own set. If you forget, there's a machine on the first floor where you can buy them. For your return journey, you can catch the airport shuttle to the airport right in front of the McDonald's opposite the hotel. You can buy tickets on-site by scanning a QR code or paying with cash. Highly recommend this hotel for families with children."

"Overall a good option for solo travelers. Located right near Dongdaemun subway station, very convenient to get to main touristy areas. There’s a 7/11 right outside the hotel and lots of restaurants in the area, some of them open 24/7. The room isn’t too small, enough to unpack your suitcase. There was a huge TV in the room with various streaming services available, nice to unwind watching a show at the end of the day. All necessary amenities were provided like towels, bathrobes, even hygienic product samples like lotion, cotton swabs, washing cloth etc. The lock is automatic, and I felt pretty safe in the hotel. Personally not a fan of Korean style bathrooms (no separation between showering area and the toilet), but you can get used to it. Please note that cleaning is upon request only."

The facilities, including the pool and fitness center, were well-kept and added extra value to the experience. Overall, it was a pleasant and hassle-free stay. "Overall, I'm satisfied. The service attitude was pretty good, and they have a business center for printing documents, which wasn't cheap but acceptable. The room itself was genuinely small; my large suitcase barely fit in the hallway and under the desk. The bed size was decent. Slippers and a hairdryer were provided, but no dental kit. My laundry dried overnight. The window offered a city view. The location is excellent, right in the CBD. It's an 8-10 minute walk straight ahead or left from the hotel entrance to Myeongdong's streets and alleys or Lotte Department Store, just two blocks down. There's a nice cafe downstairs open until 10:30 PM, and a Starbucks in the adjacent commercial building, though it closes earlier. If you turn right from the hotel entrance and walk straight for a hundred or two meters, you'll cross a small overpass connected to the street. Below the overpass is a small stream and greenery, a bit like Guangzhou's Liwan Stream. Turn left, cross the road, and walk straight, and you'll find many restaurants and cafes. There's a classic chicken sausage cheese spicy turkey noodle dish; the first few bites are really delicious, but it gets rich quickly. However, it's great value for money, with a large pot costing only about 160 RMB. The subway station is also nearby, with lines 3 and 4 not far away. All in all, the hotel offers decent value for money."

"Good location. Just a five minute walk from Itaewon station. Lots of eateries around. The hotel is situated on a hill so pushing your luggage up can be tiring. Room is small and there is not much space for a large luggage. Bathroom does not have separate wet and dry areas so after a shower the room will be wet. Fortunately it dries up very quickly and so was not an issue for us. We were disappointed with housekeeping as our room was not cleaned daily even though we requested for it. We even had to request for an additional towel daily as only one was given for a 2 person room. Breakfast is good with varieties."
