"We absolutely loved our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B in Dali Ancient City.
The location was perfect for us — tucked away in a peaceful corner near Dali Ancient City, yet only a short walk to the shops, cafés, and attractions.
What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping us with our luggage, preparing breakfast every morning, and always making sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the rice noodles, which we looked forward to each morning.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful courtyard and the overall peaceful atmosphere.
A couple of things to note for families and travellers with larger luggage. The beautiful courtyard has a koi pond running through parts of it, which adds to the charm, but I was constantly keeping an eye on my kids as I was worried they might accidentally fall in. Thankfully, nothing happened, but it’s something parents with young children may want to be aware of.
Another consideration is luggage. Vehicles can stop near the property, but you’ll still need to carry your luggage across parts of the courtyard. If you’re staying on Levels 2 or 3, there is no lift, so luggage has to be carried up manually. The owner was kind enough to help us, but it’s still worth considering if you’re travelling with multiple large suitcases.
For our family room, one small downside was that although the room was very spacious, there was only one air-conditioner serving the entire unit. The smaller bedroom felt a little stuffy and warm at night. That said, the owner was very responsive and quickly provided us with a fan the next day, which made a huge difference and solved the issue for us.
Overall, the warmth of the host, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and peaceful setting far outweighed these minor inconveniences. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy and authentic stay in Dali. ❤️🏔️✨"

"Great! The inn I stayed in this time really gave me a big surprise! From the moment I walked in, I felt the warmth of home. The decoration style of the inn is simple but stylish, and every detail reveals the owner's care. The room is spacious and bright, and the bed is soft and comfortable, which made me sleep well all night.

The service was excellent; the owner helped us with our itinerary and even gave my family anti-chafing patches when he heard their feet were hurting. He also helped us with our luggage, going up and down multiple times – he really worked hard! The service was very attentive. The location is convenient, close to Erhai Lake, and there's an electric scooter rental shop nearby if you want to rent one to cycle around the lake. The breakfast was delicious; my family all enjoyed it very much."

The hotel's Baroque style decor is very thoughtful. For extended stays, the butler contacts you every morning to arrange housekeeping, which is very considerate. The hotel also provides laundry service; the butler picks up the clothes, washes them, and returns them, so you don't have to worry about it. Special praise to the butler service! Room facilities: The detailed design and hygiene are good, and the room is large enough. There is a small balcony where you can only see Cangshan Mountain. On the roof of the third floor, you can watch the sunrise in the morning and the stars at night.
The breakfast was great. Desserts and milk were given as a gift when I checked in. The service at the station was also good.
Overall, the facilities and services of the villa are excellent. Since it is in a villa area, it is very quiet and relaxing. Of course, if young people like to be lively, this villa area may not be suitable.
The video was taken of Erhai Lake on the roof of the building at around 6 o'clock in the morning. Due to the weather, I regretted not being able to see the sunrise."

"Stumbled upon an absolute gem of an American-style B&B, and staying two nights was an amazing experience! The overall decor shows the owner's thoughtful touches everywhere, with impeccable taste and a perfectly captured vintage American vibe.
The common areas of the B&B are incredibly spacious, with plenty of room to move around – never felt cramped. The host is super friendly and warm, always attentive and considerate. My little one even learned to play some percussion instruments here and absolutely loved it, had a blast the whole time.
The bedding in the guest rooms is wonderfully soft and comfortable; I slept soundly every night. The breakfast provided by the B&B is delicious, and the complimentary afternoon tea from the owner is beautifully presented and tastes great. Considering the environment, service, and food, it's incredibly good value for money. Highly recommend for both family trips and relaxing getaways. It's already on my list for a second visit!"

The environment here is fantastic, and the owner is incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Seeing that we were all women, she helped us with our luggage and even moved us to a different room. She also proactively provided extra face towels. She was always available when we needed her, and she even double-checked rooms after housekeeping cleaned them. Highly recommend! We'll definitely stay here again next time!

I originally planned a trip with my girlfriend, intending to propose, but the itinerary was too tight, and I was worried we wouldn't have enough time to decorate. The receptionist was incredibly helpful, even helping me choose flowers in the early hours of the morning, and the next day she single-handedly decorated the room for me all afternoon!!! She was truly amazing! The proposal was a success!!! The service and the room both deserve high praise!!!

Guest UserA major plus on this Dali trip was the guesthouse I booked the night before departure – it was a delightful surprise! Located in the southern section of Dali Courtyard, it boasts the best views from the mountaintop. Cars could drive right up to the guesthouse, and the owner conveniently let us park right downstairs at our room – very convenient indeed. As for the room, I booked ”No. 1,” a detached three-bedroom villa. The first floor has a living room, mahjong table, dining room, and one guest room. The second floor has two guest rooms, each with its own bathroom, making it especially convenient for families. Most importantly, the guesthouse was impeccably clean! Another bonus was the view from the second-floor balcony – a direct view of Erhai Lake. Sitting on the balcony, sipping tea and enjoying the scenery, I could easily spend the whole day relaxing. Highly recommended!

It was beyond our expectations to find such an exquisite room. The real scene is much more beautiful than it looks on the website. It's a huge surprise when you enter the door, it's amazing! The artistic atmosphere is rich, the space is super high, and it has the feel of a classic movie. The bathtub next to the floor-to-ceiling glass window washes away your fatigue, and the smart toilet is of the same brand as the mattress. The owner is very attentive, not to mention there are two floors of public space. I have locked up this store and will come back in the future!

One day in Haidong, as if living in a picture frame
I stayed in Kunming for two days on the weekend to escape from work
Originally, I planned to stay in Haixi for two nights. By coincidence, I had dinner with an old friend at this hotel. I was shocked by the sunset in the restaurant. The key is that such a beautiful restaurant tastes good, so I decisively checked out of the room in Haixi and decided to stay immediately
I booked a family room. The room is very large and the bed is super comfortable. The room is in a single-family villa with a large and beautiful terrace garden for taking pictures and watching the sea. There is also a function area downstairs where you can cook and play mahjong. It is very suitable for families or sisters to travel together
The afternoon tea served in the sea view restaurant is also very exquisite. Sitting in the restaurant, you can overlook the 19 peaks and 18 streams of Cangshan Mountain. The unpredictable clouds cover the top of the mountain like snow. After a while, they slowly roll over and coil between the mountains like jade belts. Columns of light pass through the sky like crystals. I sat and watched the clouds for an afternoon, and I felt that I couldn’t see enough.

Guest UserThe environment was great, very clean, and smelled wonderful as soon as you opened the door. The scenery was beautiful; you could see Erhai Lake as soon as you drew the curtains in the morning. I initially thought the soundproofing might be a bit poor, but it was surprisingly quiet, perfect for people who like to sleep in. The receptionist was very gentle and had a super friendly attitude. Breakfast was delivered to the room, and it was a nice touch that she didn't knock too early, which was a big plus. The owner is also very handsome and incredibly kind; he was very welcoming and even took us to the car rental place, helping us negotiate the price to prevent us from being overcharged. A very good experience overall (the owner's friend is also very handsome).

The room faces Erhai Lake, and the scenery outside the window is great. The whole stay was very pleasant and reassuring. The layout of the room is also a style I like very much, with a bit of modern European style. All kinds of facilities are available, and the hygiene is meticulous. Especially the lady boss and the owner of the B&B, they are super enthusiastic! ! ! A very satisfying stay experience, you must come here when you come to Dali! ! !

The beach is right at the entrance of the villa community, just a few minutes' walk away. The living experience is great! Will come again. The point is that everything is disposable, and disposable toilet covers, bath towels, etc. are also provided. It is very clean.
