"The room was neat and clean with a beautiful view. The service was excellent; the owner helped us with our itinerary and even gave my family anti-chafing patches when he heard their feet were hurting. He also helped us with our luggage, going up and down multiple times – he really worked hard! The service was very attentive. The location is convenient, close to Erhai Lake, and there's an electric scooter rental shop nearby if you want to rent one to cycle around the lake. The breakfast was delicious; my family all enjoyed it very much."

"Our family's stay at Huanxi Seaview Villa far exceeded our expectations! The villa directly faces Erhai Lake, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering expansive views. We could enjoy Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake right from our beds, and the balcony created a fantastic atmosphere for watching the sunrise and sunset. The entire villa was equipped with smart facilities, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the bathroom amenities were high quality, making it especially comfortable for families with children.
The butler service was attentive and thoughtful. They communicated with us about our itinerary beforehand, and upon arrival, we were treated to an exquisite afternoon tea and a fresh fruit platter. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, and they even prepared mild dishes specifically for the kids. There's a relaxing garden within the courtyard, and the Erhai Lake ecological corridor is just a short walk away, perfect for cycling and strolling. The overall environment is quiet and private, making it easy to take great photos. The value for money is excellent, and we'll definitely choose this place again on our next trip to Dali. I wholeheartedly recommend it to families traveling together."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B in Dali Ancient City.
The location was perfect for us — tucked away in a peaceful corner near Dali Ancient City, yet only a short walk to the shops, cafés, and attractions.
What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping us with our luggage, preparing breakfast every morning, and always making sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the rice noodles, which we looked forward to each morning.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful courtyard and the overall peaceful atmosphere.
A couple of things to note for families and travellers with larger luggage. The beautiful courtyard has a koi pond running through parts of it, which adds to the charm, but I was constantly keeping an eye on my kids as I was worried they might accidentally fall in. Thankfully, nothing happened, but it’s something parents with young children may want to be aware of.
Another consideration is luggage. Vehicles can stop near the property, but you’ll still need to carry your luggage across parts of the courtyard. If you’re staying on Levels 2 or 3, there is no lift, so luggage has to be carried up manually. The owner was kind enough to help us, but it’s still worth considering if you’re travelling with multiple large suitcases.
For our family room, one small downside was that although the room was very spacious, there was only one air-conditioner serving the entire unit. The smaller bedroom felt a little stuffy and warm at night. That said, the owner was very responsive and quickly provided us with a fan the next day, which made a huge difference and solved the issue for us.
Overall, the warmth of the host, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and peaceful setting far outweighed these minor inconveniences. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy and authentic stay in Dali. ❤️🏔️✨"

The hotel's Baroque style decor is very thoughtful. For extended stays, the butler contacts you every morning to arrange housekeeping, which is very considerate. The hotel also provides laundry service; the butler picks up the clothes, washes them, and returns them, so you don't have to worry about it. Special praise to the butler service! I really liked it; it was very thoughtful. The hotel staff were all very polite, professional, and communicated smoothly!"

"Stumbled upon an absolute gem of an American-style B&B, and staying two nights was an amazing experience! The overall decor shows the owner's thoughtful touches everywhere, with impeccable taste and a perfectly captured vintage American vibe.
The common areas of the B&B are incredibly spacious, with plenty of room to move around – never felt cramped. The host is super friendly and warm, always attentive and considerate. My little one even learned to play some percussion instruments here and absolutely loved it, had a blast the whole time.
The bedding in the guest rooms is wonderfully soft and comfortable; I slept soundly every night. The breakfast provided by the B&B is delicious, and the complimentary afternoon tea from the owner is beautifully presented and tastes great. Considering the environment, service, and food, it's incredibly good value for money. Highly recommend for both family trips and relaxing getaways. It's already on my list for a second visit!"

"The environment was great, very clean, and smelled wonderful as soon as you opened the door. The scenery was beautiful; you could see Erhai Lake as soon as you drew the curtains in the morning. I initially thought the soundproofing might be a bit poor, but it was surprisingly quiet, perfect for people who like to sleep in. The receptionist was very gentle and had a super friendly attitude. Breakfast was delivered to the room, and it was a nice touch that she didn't knock too early, which was a big plus. The owner is also very handsome and incredibly kind; he was very welcoming and even took us to the car rental place, helping us negotiate the price to prevent us from being overcharged. A very good experience overall (the owner's friend is also very handsome)."

The environment here is fantastic, and the owner is incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Seeing that we were all women, she helped us with our luggage and even moved us to a different room. She also proactively provided extra face towels. She was always available when we needed her, and she even double-checked rooms after housekeeping cleaned them. Highly recommend! We'll definitely stay here again next time!

The room is large and has a projector. It is very comfortable to lie on the bed and watch movies at night. After check-in, the housekeeper will greet you at the door in advance and help you take your luggage upstairs. When you check out, you will also be escorted out. It is very convenient to order takeout and deliver it to the room. The entrance is about ten minutes walk from the ancient city. It is also very convenient to take a taxi to the hotel entrance. The hotel is in a villa area on the edge of the ancient city. The community environment is very good. It is very quiet at night and is suitable for people who have trouble sleeping. The breakfast aunt made it Bonus points for the rice noodles and fried chicken. The boss enthusiastically recommends tourist routes!

Guest UserThe room is big and clean. We have 6 people in one room. The bath is very comfortable. There is no hot water supply at the same time. There are many condiments in the kitchen. You can cook by yourself. The yard door is opened to the lotus pond. You can stay here for a few more days.

I hurriedly came to Dali with my family to stay for one night. I originally booked another hotel online, but the pictures did not match the actual hotel and it was not near the sea. The most feared thing when booking a hotel is ”photo fraud”. I booked this hotel on the spur of the moment and made the decision after actually viewing the room. The location of the hotel is very good, the rooms are very large and very photogenic. The most important thing is that the proprietress, Sister Ai, is very enthusiastic and makes us feel that this is a warm homestay. Since we only had one day to visit Dali, Sister Ai recommended the best travel guide and rented a car for us, making this trip a perfect experience! Next time I come to Dali, I will stay here again!

One day in Haidong, as if living in a picture frame
I stayed in Kunming for two days on the weekend to escape from work
Originally, I planned to stay in Haixi for two nights. By coincidence, I had dinner with an old friend at this hotel. I was shocked by the sunset in the restaurant. The key is that such a beautiful restaurant tastes good, so I decisively checked out of the room in Haixi and decided to stay immediately
I booked a family room. The room is very large and the bed is super comfortable. The room is in a single-family villa with a large and beautiful terrace garden for taking pictures and watching the sea. There is also a function area downstairs where you can cook and play mahjong. It is very suitable for families or sisters to travel together
The afternoon tea served in the sea view restaurant is also very exquisite. Sitting in the restaurant, you can overlook the 19 peaks and 18 streams of Cangshan Mountain. The unpredictable clouds cover the top of the mountain like snow. After a while, they slowly roll over and coil between the mountains like jade belts. Columns of light pass through the sky like crystals. I sat and watched the clouds for an afternoon, and I felt that I couldn’t see enough.

Guest UserIt was really nice to stay in this hotel when I went to Dali this time. The boss upgraded my room for free. It was great. It was a sea view room. I could see Erhai Lake when I opened my eyes in the morning. The public area is a large living room, very clean and nice to look at the sea. I took a few random photos of the room and living room to give you a feel. It feels great to live in a big villa.

The beach is right at the entrance of the villa community, just a few minutes' walk away. The living experience is great! Will come again. The point is that everything is disposable, and disposable toilet covers, bath towels, etc. are also provided. It is very clean.
