"We absolutely loved our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B in Dali Ancient City. The location was perfect for us — tucked away in a peaceful corner near Dali Ancient City, yet only a short walk to the shops, cafés, and attractions. What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping us with our luggage, preparing breakfast every morning, and always making sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the rice noodles, which we looked forward to each morning. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful courtyard and the overall peaceful atmosphere. A couple of things to note for families and travellers with larger luggage. The beautiful courtyard has a koi pond running through parts of it, which adds to the charm, but I was constantly keeping an eye on my kids as I was worried they might accidentally fall in. Thankfully, nothing happened, but it’s something parents with young children may want to be aware of. Another consideration is luggage. Vehicles can stop near the property, but you’ll still need to carry your luggage across parts of the courtyard. If you’re staying on Levels 2 or 3, there is no lift, so luggage has to be carried up manually. The owner was kind enough to help us, but it’s still worth considering if you’re travelling with multiple large suitcases. For our family room, one small downside was that although the room was very spacious, there was only one air-conditioner serving the entire unit. The smaller bedroom felt a little stuffy and warm at night. That said, the owner was very responsive and quickly provided us with a fan the next day, which made a huge difference and solved the issue for us. Overall, the warmth of the host, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and peaceful setting far outweighed these minor inconveniences. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy and authentic stay in Dali. ❤️🏔️✨"

"I rarely write positive reviews, but I think this place deserves one! I booked the room around 11 PM the night before. After comparing many guesthouses in the area, I found this one. A 90+ square meter sea-view suite for only 600+ RMB! Plus, there's only one room per floor, so you don't have to worry about being disturbed. The value is absolutely amazing!!! The room has a super spacious sea view and even a bathtub. Taking a bath while looking at Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake—it's simply divine! As someone who loves ambiance, this place is perfect for me. 🤩 Because I arrived late, the front desk staff waited for me and even helped me with my luggage. They really appreciate the attention to detail. 🥹 Breakfast is right downstairs! 💯 Full marks! Highly recommended!!!"

"what a lovely stay. hosts were super friendly, flexible, and even invited me to a home cooked dinner. boss gave me a free upgrade out of kindness. views from the third floor room are stunning, better than anything from the old town or west shore. cleanliness is top notch and the room has everything you need. highly recommended for anybody looking for somewhere to rewind for a few days (or weeks…). 希望老板不介意我留个满分的评价😚"

"Very comfortable, very satisfied with a stay experience! First of all, the hotel is located on the mountainside. The room is directly facing the Bohai Sea. You can see the Bohai Sea as soon as you open the curtains, and the view is very wide! The layout facilities in the room are warm and atmospheric, bright and comfortable, and the toilet bath equipment is also smart. It is very convenient to use and very user-friendly. When you check in, you can play with the puppy. The puppy is very good, very cute and obedient. The boss is very enthusiastic and caring. He will ask if we need breakfast. The breakfast time is very delicious. The nutrition is reasonable and balanced. And when leaving the hotel, The boss also personally drove us to the high-speed rail station. "The location is excellent and the transportation is convenient. It takes 10 minutes to get to the airport. The boss will pick you up personally. "The environment here is fantastic, and the owner is incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Seeing that we were all women, she helped us with our luggage and even moved us to a different room. She also proactively provided extra face towels. She was always available when we needed her, and she even double-checked rooms after housekeeping cleaned them. Highly recommend! "We booked it on October 1st. The view from the room was amazing, beyond our expectations! The door opened directly onto Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. The kids were blown away when they opened the door and were very excited. 🥹The boss picked us up from the high-speed rail station, which was very convenient. The breakfast was also delicious, and there were three super cute kittens in the restaurant. 🥹 I will definitely come again next time."

"Very cost-effective sea view room. From the moment I walked in, I was attracted by the large viewing balcony. The view was very good. You can watch the sunset. There are lounge chairs, swings and countless succulents. The room is quiet and soundproof. The hygiene is great. The supporting facilities are also very complete. The toothpaste is from Shuke, the toothbrush is very soft, and the comb is also made of wood. It is really a surprise. Breakfast is rice noodles and hot milk. I personally feel that it tastes better than the rice noodles in the ancient city. The owner of the B&B is very enthusiastic, attentive and thoughtful, and he makes good tea. Sitting in the courtyard of the B&B and tasting the tea made by the owner himself is really enjoyable"

"The B&B was recommended by a friend who came back from Dali. The store manager picked us up at the airport. He chatted with us very cordially along the way. We were really shocked by the dazzling array of African handicrafts in the lobby. The lady made us free coffee which was sweet and delicious. The room was very large and comfortable. Lying on the bed, we could see the beautiful Cangshan Mountain, Erhai Lake and the sunset. The terrace and garden on the second floor were very inspired. It felt like being in Monet's paintings. In the evening, the boss played the piano and sang. We boiled tea around the stove and sang along with the boss's melody. It was very pleasant. 👍👍👍👍👍"

"The room is large and has a projector. It is very comfortable to lie on the bed and watch movies at night. After check-in, the housekeeper will greet you at the door in advance and help you take your luggage upstairs. When you check out, you will also be escorted out. It is very convenient to order takeout and deliver it to the room. The entrance is about ten minutes walk from the ancient city. It is also very convenient to take a taxi to the hotel entrance. The hotel is in a villa area on the edge of the ancient city. The community environment is very good. It is very quiet at night and is suitable for people who have trouble sleeping.
