"I thought the location was not that great because it was a bit inside the main island, but when I stayed there myself, I felt a very quiet and relaxed local atmosphere, so it was really nice.
The boat station is 2-3 minutes from the hotel, so it's easy to get around. (The boat comes frequently, and you can get to the center of the main island in 15-20 minutes.)
The Sant'Elina Hotel has better facilities and is clean compared to other hotels.
A family of 4 stayed there, and there was a king-size bed and a sofa bed, so we slept comfortably and spaciously.
The best thing about this hotel is that the breakfast is really delicious. It was nice to be able to eat a delicious breakfast made with fresh ingredients every morning."

"Overall the hotel is ok, for the price paid and location, you cannot expect more. The structure is old and shabby, the room has a strong scent of deodorant that is almost nauseating. There is one shower and two toilets to share, but there is no hot water, even after letting it run for minutes it wouldn't become anywhere near 30/32 degrees C. The breakfast is actually huge, but with cheap quality products. The view from the room was actually gorgeous. The location is unbeatable, close to the train station and 25 minutes walk from San Marco and there is a gorgeous restaurant nearby called Osottosopra. The reception and service is really nice, they can keep your bags, the people working there are all kind, gentle and willing to help and make your stay nice. I'd recommend this hotel only if you want to sleep one night in Venice for cheap and are ok with shabby facilities."

"Location environment: The hotel is located on the edge of Murano Island. If the weather is good, the sea view should be great. Unfortunately, we arrived in Venice on the day of the storm. The hotel is very close to the bus station, but a short road is at the seaside and there is no guardrail. It was a little scary when it was windy and rainy.
Surrounding facilities: Next to the glass museum, the boss said that you can visit for free with the identity of the guest. There is a supermarket not far away to buy daily necessities, and there are some restaurants.
Service: The boss is very nice, will confirm the arrival time by email in advance, recommend nearby restaurants, etc., and you can also pay for breakfast (🥐 +☕2.5 Euro one person)"

"I stayed here for 1 night, in a single room, and I was lucky enough to get a room with a balcony. The interiors have an antique feel to them, with parquet and painted wardrobe.
The check in process was very smooth, the location is fantastic, the bed was comfy and clean, the shower had good pressure, and the place was quiet, with ambient chatter sounds from the nearby cafes, which enhanced my holiday-mood.
Great place, I'd love to return for a longer stay."

"Great hotel. I really liked the location, the room was right in front of the beach with a wonderful sunrise. The room and hotel were always clean, very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The bus stop is in front of the hotel, close to the vaporetto station, with direct access to central Venice, the airport and other islands. I recommend it, if there is no bus, just walk 15 minutes to get to the vaporetto station."

GGuest UserVery charming, chambered place. Small, modest, clean, smelly, beautifully decorated hotel. We were two, we spent two nights with breakfast and attention here, delicious breakfasts. Delicious, fresh bread, raisins, cheeses. Delicious Croissanty, every day some pie, lots of fruit and vegetables, juices, cereals, jam.
Hotel service is also at very high level. Very polite, helpful, smiley people. Before arrival very good, helpful contact. Although I wish I could not find anything negative. I recommend with a clean heart. Thank you for your hospitality.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the Lodo port. But since it is too close, the house will shake when the boat hits the levee.
Room amenities are a little dated, Even though it's a non-smoking room, I can still smell some smoke.
All the staff are very friendly. They can prepare a takeaway breakfast if you leave the hotel before breakfast time.

GGuest UserLovely modern hotel situated approx less than 10mins walk from the water bus stop Lido SME. Breakfast was simple…cereals, some fruit, baked goods and cold meats. If you wanted something hot, there was only scrambled eggs, sausages and/or bacon. The coffee wasn’t great…it was a Douwe Egbert machine. It’s about a 10min walk to the beach which was beautiful. The room was small but adequate. It was really hot in the room and there were no instructions on how to use the air on. We just opened the windows which helped slightly. You have body wash/shampoo provided but no hair conditioner so we had to go to a nearby local supermarket (called Coop) to buy. There’s also complimentary teas and coffee in the room. Other stuff in the mini fridge is chargeable. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

KKyRuSThe hotel is a bit far from the main pier, it takes 10 or 20 minutes to walk, and you have to wait by bus, which is not very frequent. There is a close pier but not commonly used so it is not useful. The breakfast was good and the waiters were very courteous, worthy of praise! Instead, the person who should be the owner of the house at check-in is average. Room booked for 3 days, no hot water the next morning! Take a cold shower! It's cold to sick 😑 The photos of the room are too beautiful 😅

GGuest UserIt was a nice experience overall. There is a €3.60 city tax per person per night that's added on and can only be paid in cash which was inconvenient. There is tea/coffee provided in the room, however, they also charge to refill them if you use any. Breakfast is an extra €5 per person and breakfast lasts less than 3 hours (7am-9:45am) which is a bit inconvenient if you want to sleep in or if you have to get up early. The desk staff is moderately friendly. When we first arrived they weren't too friendly but the evening and check out attendants were nicer. The room is pretty small and really only enough room to eat around the perimeter of the bed. The bathroom is decently sized, however, the shower didn't have a door so water pools out onto the floor unless you huddle close to the shower head and even then... The TV is very small and not easily seen if you are vision impaired. My biggest complaint, however, is how hard the bed was. There's little to no cushion on the mattress. I woke up both mornings I was there and had back and hip pain (I'm 28 yrs old in relatively good physical condition). It is close to sleeping on the floor. There was a closet with a nice amount of space to put our things. There is also am elevator to access the floors which was convenient on days that we walked a ton. The lobby is nice and clean and has some seating areas. We did not explore the bar or breakfast areas. The hotel itself is located near the water bus station for easy access to Venice. It is also on a strip of shops and restaurants. Granted most things on the island of Lido do close early and a lot of them are temporarily closed but still marked as open on Google maps. Plan accordingly and call places ahead of time. I've included pictures of the bathroom which was overall nice, however, I didn't take pictures of the bedroom as it was small and hard to get a good angle.

RRaluca DascalitaI stayed at La Pergola for 3 nights and it felt very homey to me, like a student dorm room.
It was easy to reach from the Lido SME station, very quiet, my room had plenty of light, a desk to do some work, internet was working properly in the room though I was at the second floor.
The bed was comfy, bed linen was clean, the water was warm and shower had pressure, though the shower head had some holes clogged.
All the basics are there, coffee in the morning is included, and -despite the fact that the room could use a deep cleaning - I think it was great value for money, much better than expected given the previous reviews.
This place will be on my return list in my future travels to Venice.
