Hot Springs Hotels in Ito

"Really enjoyed my stay at Kameya Rakan! From the beginning, staff at check-in were very pleasant. The staff that attended to us also spoke really good English! There was also a microwave, some brochures/maps with discount codes for attractions (e.g. Mt Omuro chairlift). Parking was plenty and free, located behind the accommodation. There is a sign that says Kameya Rakan Parking. Room was tatami style, and we chose the seaview room which was really nice. They were also very kind to prepare iced water for us in the room which I have never encountered before. Would definitely come back to stay again!"

"It’s a very charming place with a real wabi-sabi atmosphere - simple, quiet, and full of nostalgic beauty. Quite old-fashioned, but well maintained. This spot became popular on a Russian platform, so there are many tourists from Russia ( me as well) . When I visited the onsen, there were seven people in total - all Russian girls. Overall, it doesn’t stop you from having a great rest. However, it’s not really suitable for a honeymoon, as my husband and I were separated the whole time — there are no mixed onsens for men and women, probably because the place is now mostly visited by foreigners. When we checked out, they kindly drove us back to the station. I left with a complete sense of relaxation. Thank you!"

"I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely loved the Hachiman-no Wayo-shiki room type at KIRA-NO-SATO! Upon reaching the floor of our room, we had to take off our shoes and put them in a shoe cabinet, then walk barefoot to the room. If you're heading to the public bathhouse or just exploring the hotel, you can wear the geta (wooden clogs) provided by the shoe cabinet. The floors were incredibly clean; walking barefoot was very comfortable and not dirty at all. The room itself was spotless and spacious, not feeling old-fashioned in the slightest. In fact, it looked quite new. The shower room's design reminded me of a sauna, but it was very comfortable and clean. We didn't use the public bath. Instead, we showered in our room each time before grabbing the key for a private onsen. The 'Stone Craftsman' bath, made of stone, was a bit small; it felt a little cramped for two people. 'Bamboo Immortal' was made of wood (or perhaps bamboo, judging by the name?) and offered more space. 'Rock Seat' was more like a small swimming pool, the largest of the three private onsens, very spacious for two, and had the best overhead cover. The hotel front desk offered complimentary drinks, including sodas, coffee, and tea. The public bath area provided milk and coffee milk in the mornings, and lactic acid drinks and ice cream in the evenings. The building next to the front desk offered various refreshments at different times, such as green tea, local sweet potatoes, soba noodles, and oden. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle bus service to Izu-Kogen Station, though it stops running after 5:30 PM. After that, you'd have to walk. The walk from the station to the hotel is uphill with a significant incline, which can be tiring if you have luggage or many bags. The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic and polite! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Izu~"

"This time I stayed near Izu Kogen Station, just a few hundred meters walk away, which was very convenient. Facilities: The restaurant and hot springs were all available. Although the hot springs and restrooms are shared, it wasn't inconvenient at all. You can play PS5 and use the massage chair. There are two hot spring baths, one large and one small, which can be reserved in advance. Cleanliness: It was cleaned daily. While traditional Japanese-style rooms don't inherently look as 'clean' as modern ones, I found it quite clean. Environment: It's close to the train station and there are some restaurants nearby. The owner keeps the place very nicely decorated, with many interesting ornaments and designs. Service: The staff member is *********, which made communication very easy. Every day, a large thermos of hot water was left at the door. The hot spring reservation software was very convenient and integrated with WeChat. When I left, the owner insisted on driving me to the train station – the service was absolutely top-notch. This little inn is quite interesting; if you're used to modern hotels, you might want to try this Japanese-style one. I would definitely consider staying here again if I come back to Izu."

"The room was very large, spacious, and bright, and it even had a sea view. Although the hotel's exterior looks a bit dated, the interior structure and facilities are well-maintained and excellent. Plus, the price offers great value and is very competitive. The only minor drawback is that it's a 20-minute walk to both the train and bus stations. However, this isn't an issue for guests who drive, as there's parking available, including charging stations."

"I chose this hotel primarily for its location and the fact that there aren't many Chinese guests, which was perfect. The overall environment is great, and the staff always greeted us warmly. The hot springs were very comfortable, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. It's a fantastic place for a vacation."

"We ( 7 of us ) booked 4 rooms in end of March, staying in Laforet for 3 nights because it has private onsen in the hotel room. Very clean ( typical japanese cleanliness), its huge ! You have both choices to stay in 2 super single bed or set your futons at the tatami lounge. Its super comfortable. When we arrived to the hotel on a Wednesday and was hoping to have a meal at the hotel, the hotel front desk told us that we could NOT dine in the hotel as it is fully booked for whole month. We were very dissappointed, as we are paying hotel guests in the hotel and we are not allowed to dine in the hotel?! so we have to go outside of the hotel and look for dinners for next 3 days. The town is very small and serene. So if you are looking to stay in a secluded non touristy place, this hotel definitely suitable."

"Japanese homestay, a minute walk from the station, although there are hot springs, I don't dare to try it in the basement. If you want to save transportation and accommodation costs from Hakone to Izu, you can consider staying for one night."

"It's great value for money. You can get a free taxi from Ito Station to the hotel, and the hotel will also arrange a free taxi ride back to Ito Station upon departure. Each room includes one free pick-up and drop-off. There's a large public bath and two private onsen (hot springs) that can be booked in advance; each room can reserve one 45-minute private onsen session. The hotel's conditioner made my hair very smooth, and I even bought shampoo and conditioner to take with me. It's perfect for leisurely strolling around the city and then relaxing in the hotel's onsen. I didn't book a room with breakfast and dinner included this time, mainly because I don't eat raw meat, and I figured the meals would be good."

"It’s a traditional style onsen hotel, the decoration is a bit too old compared to the photos of the official website though I think it has been renovated. The onsen was okay and didn’t look clean because of the old renovation. The toilet inside the room had a bad smell."
