"The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to tourist spots like March Street and the North Gate vegetable market. Plus, there's a ton of great food right downstairs, so you'll never go hungry! 😂 The owner is also incredibly helpful. The only downsides are that the hot water takes forever to heat up; I have to wait almost 5 minutes just to wash my face, and showering is practically impossible because the water just doesn't get hot enough. The AC also occasionally breaks down. 😂 Overall, everything else was really satisfying; it's just the hot water and AC that need improvement. 🙏 It's also quite Muslim-friendly! 👍"

The small courtyard is located at the south gate of the ancient city of Dali, and it takes about 5 minutes to walk to the ancient city. Backed by Cangshan Mountain, facing Erhai Lake. There are a variety of local specialties to choose from, and the surrounding life and entertainment are complete. It is about a 15-minute drive from the scenic spot Chongsheng Temple Three Pagoda Park, Cangshan Grand Cableway, Tianlong Babu Film and Television City and Erhai Lakeside Internet Red Ecological Corridor check-in point. Convenient travel and convenient transportation are indeed a rare golden location!
"I recently stayed here as a solo traveler, and this hotel was the highlight of my trip to Dali.
The hotel is located directly opposite the South Gate of Dali Old Town - truly steps away from the ancient city walls, only 3-4 mins walk yet it's quiet at night. There are also many delicious local eateries all within a 2-minute walk and also foot massage place. After you explore and have tired feet, I highly recommend that place - only 2 mins walk from the hotel. Calling a taxi (DiDi) to any attraction is also very convenient.
The hotel owner is an incredibly kind and genuine person. She made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Even though I speak very little mandarin, they made an effort to speak very slowly for me. The most memorable moment was when she invited me to join her and her friends for a home-cooked dinner at the hotel. As a solo traveler, that gesture of community was truly special and something I can't book on trip.com.
This hotel made my Dali trip unforgettable. Thank you for the wonderful memories."

"This hotel is right on Erhai Lake, offering stunning lake views from the windows. The location is perfect, and I woke up to sunshine every morning. The ecological corridor is right at the doorstep, and there are rental spots on both sides, making it incredibly convenient to explore Erhai Lake. The room facilities are excellent, and the oversized bathtub was a real treat. The hotel also provides complimentary welcome fruits and afternoon tea. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily, refilled disposables, and emptied the trash. Our butler was very accommodating with all our requests, making for a truly comfortable stay. We even received a small gift upon checkout."

"This was my parents' first trip to Yunnan, and Dali was their first stop. Since I couldn't join them, I spent a lot of time beforehand choosing a hotel. After they checked in, they found the room to be spacious and comfortable, and the hotel environment was very elegant and unique, with a distinct local flair. Most importantly, it's very close to the ancient city, making transportation and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel's concierge was exceptionally thoughtful, contacting us a day before their arrival to confirm their check-in time. The departure transfer service was arranged promptly, and the breakfast was much to their liking. Thank you for making my parents' first stop in Yunnan such a comfortable experience!"

"A slice of modern heaven in the ancient city of Dali. Just off the main road in the heart of bustling crowds, this property will wish you had booked longer. It seems like a mix of modern Dutch style while keeping the traditional Chinese element. The hospitality is second to none with personalization and caring as if you are at a 5 star resort. Everything is new, fresh and clean. The library is a comfortable place to relax with a book, looking out into the garden and watching the koi fish. It rained over night and the pitter patter seemed to be a design to help slept to the sound. The only recommendation I would make is to have the path way to the hotel more lighted as it is dark when returning to the hotel. They even reserved our charter to Lijiang and cared for us at dinner. "First off, this B&B is super convenient for food, drinks, and getting around the old town. Walking into the alley and courtyard, it's a hidden gem – you can tell it's thoughtfully designed, and the cherry blossom trees are beautiful. The room was very clean and well-equipped, making for a really comfortable stay. Finally, the owner is incredibly nice; they'll prepare breakfast for you and even hot porridge in the evening (and they're also an electrician, gardener, and cement worker! 😁). Five-star recommendation!"

"Nice location. One could walk to go shopping, mountain or the 3 pagodas My single room is basic and clean. Hot showers is adequate. No heating in room but Electric blanket is provided. If you need more luxury then this is not the place.
The best point is the people running the hostel. Helpful and caring. Every night they will build a small fireplace and you could sit and chat with others. She helped me with buying my bus ticket and made sure I took the right bus to my next destination. You just have to ask if you need assistance or tips."

· Regarding Renovations: Some hotel areas were undergoing renovations during our stay, making a few public facilities unavailable. This was a bit of a shame, and I hope to experience the complete version next time.
· Excellent Service and Views: However, I must emphasize that the incredible service and stunning Erhai Lake views completely made up for this minor inconvenience! The staff was incredibly thoughtful and always ready to help with anything we needed.
· More Peaceful than S-Bend: The location is fantastic, not as crowded as the popular S-Bend, allowing us to enjoy a tranquil stretch of the lake all to ourselves.
· Perfect for Families: The environment is quiet and safe, and our child had a wonderful time, making it ideal for family trips.
· Captivating Sunrise: A major highlight was being able to enjoy the breathtaking Erhai Lake sunrise directly from our room or the hotel's viewing platform.
· Summary: Despite the minor renovation interruption, overall, the service and scenery still made for a very satisfying stay.

AAnTrieA very tastefully designed hotel with a cozy and welcoming lobby. The inner courtyard and garden deserve special mention – a beautiful, unique oasis with many plants, flowers, trees, and inviting seating areas that create a wonderful atmosphere to relax and feel at home.
Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything one could need. Everything was spotlessly clean. The service was good, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is offered via a small but well-chosen menu. Communication worked very well via WeChat using the translation function. We were especially grateful to the young staff member who helped us organize our onward journey to Shaxizhen 沙溪镇.
A big thank you to everyone at the hotel – we felt very comfortable and are happy to recommend it to others.

EEnnaService was fantastic, the host was superb! Place was clean, convenient, and included all that one could need on a vacation. In the heart of Ancient Dali, this was perfect for food, entertainment, and shopping. It is also minutes away from the famous Cangshan mountain, and the host is very considerate in assisting you with any arrangement you'd like, including cabs for railway and airport transportation.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the room matched exactly the photos that are on the site. Very often this is not the case. So, all in all it was a very pleasant experience at this location.
Would definitely stay again and certainly would recommend this to anyone travelling to Dali. As a single female, I found this place to be very safe...especially with a considerate host, who looks out for you!

MMichelle 琪惠The service is great. There’s no need to carry your luggage or walk for pick-up or drop-off at 双廊半岛超市—someone will handle your bags and bring you over on a buggy. I was even upgraded to a room with a view.
Each time you enter or leave, you’ll be warmly greeted by the same individual, likely the manager, who also reminds guests to dress warmer if the temperature dips. Breakfast (8:30-10:30) changes daily, and they warm up milk (21:00-22:00) if you’d like some. There’s also a bar on site, though I didn’t try it this time. The room is thoughtfully furnished with a Marshall speaker (Bluetooth) and diffuser, and you can even choose the scent you prefer.
The location is ideal for anyone seeking both convenience and tranquillity.
It’s close to many attractions: right next to the pier and 双廊古镇, and about a 15-minute walk to the gallery and exhibition at Yang Liping’s former residence (杨丽萍太阳宫). It’s walking distance to a few popular eateries as well. You may need to walk abit if you’re going to the viral cafes further out near Muxi Dali (alternatively, you can get those buggy to transport you at a fee).
It becomes peaceful in the evenings once the day-trippers leave, so you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset in calm surroundings—perfect for sipping a cup of Yunnan tea while taking in the view (see photos).

KKeaidezhizhimaThe rooms are a bit on the older side. There's a newer building next door, which is pricier, so it really depends on individual needs and budget. The front desk staff were excellent, and the hotel's overall service philosophy is commendable. We originally booked a 'Quiet King Room,' but my husband really wanted a balcony, and they kindly upgraded us for free! The location is fantastic – very quiet with beautiful scenery, definitely worth recommending. I went cycling with my child, and the scenery along the way was absolutely stunning. The breakfast spread was generous and delicious, featuring Cantonese dim sum available until 10:30 AM. In the hot afternoon, enjoying afternoon tea at the hotel while gazing at the sea view was incredibly relaxing and pleasant. We cycled for two hours, and the surrounding landscapes were simply breathtaking. Xizhou Ancient Town, the Rice Paddies Mini Train, and Haishi Park are all just a few kilometers away by bike.

We had a truly memorable stay at this charming inn. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding—starting with a complimentary one-way airport pickup that made our arrival smooth and stress-free.
Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a spacious suite, where a welcome platter of fresh fruits awaited us. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and well-appointed, with plenty of space to relax.
The staff and owner, were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Mr. Li who picked us from airport offered to drive us around (with a fee) to several local attractions and introduced us to some delicious local food, which added a unique and personal touch to our experience.
The inn is tucked away beside a dry creek, creating a peaceful and quiet setting. The landscaping is beautiful and well-maintained, enhancing the overall sense of tranquility. We especially enjoyed the rooftop lounging area, which offers stunning views of Erhai Lake—a perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day.
Breakfast was included and thoughtfully prepared, adding to the overall value and comfort of our stay.
We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene getaway with warm, attentive service and a touch of local charm.

DDeyimingliThis hotel is just about a hundred meters from the Old Town's main street, so you can walk there in a few minutes. It's also super convenient to catch a taxi to Erhai Lake, and the bus stop isn't far either. Since I have some leg issues, it was easier and not too expensive for my family to take taxis. There are tons of restaurants nearby. Their breakfast is fantastic, especially the noodles made by the chef; they're even better than what you find outside. The courtyard is clean, and the rooms are spacious, making for a very comfortable stay. The owner even came to meet us at the intersection, which was a really thoughtful touch! Dali has beautiful scenery, and exploring it on a scooter would be even more amazing!

GGuest UserWe rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages.
However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang.
After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!
