"The room was clean and tidy. It was really cold in Dali during the May Day holiday due to the rain, but luckily the air conditioning had a heating function, which was great! It's very close to the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, about a four-minute walk. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, helping us carry our luggage both ways. When we left, they even gave us flower cakes!"

"Had a fantastic stay in Dali! The hotel's location is perfect, right outside the main entrance of the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. It's a quiet oasis despite being so central. The room was clean, tidy, and soundproof, so I slept really well. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, even giving me a complimentary flower cake when I checked out – such a lovely touch! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Dali."

"The first hotel on our Yunnan trip was absolutely fantastic! The moment we stepped into the courtyard, we were instantly charmed by the beautiful flowers and plants, and seeing the adorable cats and dogs just lifted our spirits. The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which is one of my must-haves when choosing accommodation. The bedding was super comfortable, and the bed was great for sleeping. They even had a direct drinking water dispenser in the room, which felt much safer than an electric kettle. The guesthouse is just over a ten-minute walk to the South Gate of the ancient town. The walk back takes a few minutes longer because there's an uphill slope right before you reach the guesthouse, but if you rent a scooter, it's no problem at all. They even thoughtfully provided a foot bath tub in the room – soaking my feet after a long day was so relaxing. The staff at the guesthouse were all young men, and they were warm and welcoming without being intrusive. If I come back to Dali, I'll definitely choose this guesthouse again."

"After exploring much of Yunnan, arriving at this B&B in Dali felt like discovering the most meticulously designed place of my entire trip. I had initially shortlisted a few B&Bs online, but ultimately chose to stay within the ancient city rather than by the sea, primarily drawn by its charming courtyard and duplex rooms. To my delight, it exceeded my expectations. The courtyard, though compact, was incredibly serene, and the decor was very tasteful. All the amenities provided were of premium quality. We booked two rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The upstairs room even featured a specially installed electric blind for stargazing. It was evident that the entire B&B had been thoughtfully designed with attention to every detail. The selection of food and beverages provided was also excellent, and they even delivered sweet soup to our rooms in the evening. The breakfast spread was very generous, offering both Chinese and Western options – a definite highlight. However, the taste of the morning rice noodles and Ersi could be improved."

"Stayed for 3 nights in the moon journey room which has 2 rooms around end of March 2026. The hotel is housed in a centuries old building on a small lane inside the Dali ancient city. Cars can go in the lane but with difficulty especially in the day when the lane is crowded. We received warm welcome from the reception when we arrived and the manager brought us through a short tour and intro of the old building which was formerly a district governor house. There are wear and tear as expected of old building but still much well maintained. Rooms were large, we have the whole floor on one side of the house to ourselves. Rooms were clean, comes with free drinks and water. Only 1 toilet and washroom. The room comes with a tea area. Free tea and snacks were provided for one of the days and the hotel provides a one way transfer which you can use to go to the hotel or to the airport. Aiso free breakfast served local style. Location wise, this is inside the ancient city so it is convenient to go anywhere from here. If you love staying in old houses or looking for unique stay experience, this is recommended."

"Their service is incredible and the hotel is very clean. Staff were friendly and really helpful, thanks to them for offering a suitable solution for my sick friend who needed more rest. We didn’t get the time to walk around the hotel, so the pictures I took were mainly the surrounding area which was beautiful. (Didn’t expect to see so many 蓝花 still at the end of May) As for the room, it was big and spacious. First picture is view, last picture was when we were stargazing. The only things to note is that there isn’t really a place for clothes in the shower area, only a small place to hold shower bottles. Another would be the need to plug the insect repellent to the switch upon entering the room. We were oblivious at first so there were many mosquitoes in the common area, and thankfully none in the other room. Finally a tip, you can ask them to transport you to 理想邦 and there is also a discount. Overall, we had a lovely stay thanks to the hotel’s hospitality☺️"

"Stayed here with my good friend, and since hygiene is a big deal for us, this guesthouse was perfectly clean and reassuring. The room was spotless, no dust anywhere, and the environment was quiet and safe, making our stay really comfortable and relaxing. They paid great attention to cleanliness details, which was a nice touch. Even though it's on the first floor, it was super convenient! In the evenings, after the coffee shop downstairs closed, we'd just hang out there, drinking tea and using our phones. Excellent value for money! Definitely my top choice for accommodation when traveling!"

"We were given an upgrade to an extremely nice room without charge. One of the nicest rooms we have ever been in. Certainly the best room we've ever been in in China (and we've lived here more than 30 years). Comfortable bed, very clean and spacious room, a soaking tub with plenty of hot water and a great shower in addition to that. The hotel is very nicely appointed with excellent plants and fishponds and flowers all around the grounds. Breakfast each morning was fixed hot to our request and included many extras. Coffee was great. The staff were extremely helpful when we needed transportation or suggestions on what to do. There are many great restaurants within a few minutes walking distance, and all of the ancient city is quite accessible from the location. We will be returning again next time we are in Dali."

The view outside is just as stunning as Longkan Wharf and the popular 'S' Bay, so there's no need to go anywhere else once you're here. There are even local photographers outside who can take great pictures. The hotel staff are excellent, and in the afternoon, they offer complimentary mini desserts like flower cakes, Pu'er wine, and a variety of beverages. The public areas are spacious, and the breakfast spread is fantastic, with both Chinese and Western options. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied!

GGuest UserI've been to Dali several times, but this is my first time staying in a traditional-style courtyard like this. The owner keeps the courtyard meticulously maintained, and there are two adorable little cats – truly an ideal cat life! They have a good variety of room types, and there's also a large terrace on the third floor where you can overlook the distant Cangshan Mountain. But the service here is what really stands out. Everyone affectionately calls the owner 'Sister Mo.' From booking to checking out, she was incredibly warm and friendly, offering many great recommendations for restaurants and touring routes that won't disappoint. In the mornings, you can even enjoy Sister Mo's unique Zajiangmian (Sichuan meat sauce noodles) breakfast, which perfectly suits a Sichuan palate. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit. It's very close to the ancient city but without the hustle and bustle, making it super convenient for getting around.

GGuest UserTraveling with my elderly parents, convenience was key, and I'm so glad we chose this hotel instead of staying in Haixi. Xiaguan District is where the locals live in Dali, and it's incredibly convenient for food, drinks, and entertainment. Right downstairs from the hotel, there are all sorts of local specialty restaurants. The hotel's location is excellent, and the views are simply stunning; you open the door and Erhai Lake is right there. The breakfast selection is rich, with rice noodles and regular noodles available all day. Since my elderly parents prefer simple dinners, we often asked the hotel to stir-fry two vegetable dishes and prepare some rice vermicelli for us, and they always accommodated our requests without hesitation. The service is truly exceptional – the front desk young lady was gentle and warm-hearted, and the restaurant young lady was also incredibly kind and enthusiastic. Overall, among all the hotel staff I've encountered, everyone, from the airport pick-up to the front desk and even the maintenance staff, was patient and welcoming. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance; it's particularly well-suited for families and friends traveling together.

HHidefanHad a fantastic stay! The guesthouse is just a few minutes' walk from the South Gate of the old town and not far from the 'station bus' stop to Lijiang – easily walkable even with luggage. It's also on the C2 Old Town bus route; you can flag one down for 2 yuan to get to Cai Village and see Erhai Lake. The guesthouse is located on a street full of restaurants, so dining out was super convenient. The room was spacious and very clean, complete with a smart speaker. The landlady was incredibly nice; we had a bit of a snag and didn't arrive until 11 PM, but both the owner and landlady were waiting for us and even helped with our luggage – truly touching! I'll definitely recommend this place to friends. Excellent value for money, plus a few beautiful photos of Erhai Lake from New Year's Day!

You can take pictures on the rooftop, which is good for physical strength. There is also breakfast in the morning, which is made by their local aunt, and it's super delicious rice noodles. Unlimited refills. It's also very convenient to go out in the town. When you walk out, you will see Yang Liping's Sun Palace, and on the other side is Nanzhao Fengqing Island.

GGuest UserWe rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages. However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang. After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!
