"The location is excellent; it was very convenient to be able to drop off shopping bags right after buying them. The room was very clean, and the toilet, sink, and bed were spotless. Note that toilet paper cannot be flushed. The shower has no bathtub or curtain, so I was worried about getting the toilet wet, but it was fine. The drainage was good, and the floor dried quickly. For stays of several days, there's no room cleaning, but towels were exchanged, and trash was taken out daily. I couldn't figure out how to use the TV, so instructions would be helpful. The room I stayed in this time was very small, so next time I'd like to book a slightly larger room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Seoul."

"The facility was recently remodeled and was very clean and comfortable. There were enough things you need such as different types of chargers and TV, especially the cozy lighting in the room was very suitable for relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was great for sightseeing and vacationing in Seoul. If I ever visit Seoul again, I will choose this place without hesitation."

"I visited for a business trip and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. It was nice to have simple snacks like baked eggs and toast available. However, as expected for the low price, the bathroom is a bit small. Just be aware of that (though honestly, at this price point, all similar places in the area are pretty much the same). Anyway, overall I'm satisfied. I'll be in Seoul again in September... I'll probably stay here again."

"This hotel offers incredible value for money, seriously the best I've found in my dozen-plus trips to Korea! The front desk has self-service bottled water, tissues, coffee, and even contact lens solution. The room has a smart toilet and enough space for two large suitcases. The Incheon Airport bus 6007 takes you directly near the hotel, and it's about a 5-minute walk from there. Getting around by public transport is super convenient, as long as you're patient enough to figure out the local maps. A taxi to Gimpo Airport is only about 20 minutes and costs around ₩80,000 (roughly $80 USD). The hotel is located in an alley, so I wouldn't recommend it for solo female travelers, but it's perfectly fine if you're with a group. The room wasn't spotlessly clean, but the bedding was great, and while the shower didn't have a separate wet/dry area, the water quality was excellent – showers and hair washes felt really good. For ₩30,000-₩40,000 a night, this hotel truly is a fantastic deal!"

"Traveling solo, my main concerns were safety and hygiene. The hotel isn't far from the metro station; even though it's down a small alley, I felt safe walking back alone past 11 PM. The hygiene was good, but the shower water temperature was a bit tricky to adjust – it was either too hot or too cold, and hard to get just right. I ended up having to wash quickly. The surroundings were quiet at night, apart from a slight hum from the fridge. The guy who checked me in on the first day was super nice and even let me check in early. And the front desk guy who checked me out on the second day was really handsome, lol!"

The location is just across the street from Myeongdong city center, quite close. Perhaps the other guests in the area also go to bed early and leave early, so it was quite quiet. If you're on a shopping spree or have a strong aversion to germs, I wouldn't recommend this room type."

"Our first stop in Seoul was this hotel. The front desk staff spoke Chinese, so communication was seamless. I found the location quite easy to find; just go up a small hill and make a turn, and you'll see it. It offers great value for money, so the small room size wasn't an issue – plus, I haven't really seen any 'large' rooms in Seoul anyway. Being near Sinchon, the location is unbeatable, making it convenient to get anywhere, especially Hongdae! Highly recommend it!"

RReyleeThe location of this hotel is fantastic if you want to be right in the middle of a lively area with easy access to the Myeongdong Night Market. It is very near to an MRT exit, but bear in mind that this specific exit has no elevator; you will have to use the nearest escalator or staircase, which can be tough with a stroller. Furthermore, because the hotel sits right on a main road, there is no proper pick-up or drop-off area, making arriving and leaving by car quite chaotic. Inside the room, there is no kettle provided to boil water, and the bathroom lacks a separate wet and dry area because the sink tap is connected directly to the shower head, leaving the entire floor wet. We also bumped our heads a few times on the low clearance of the double-decker bed. For laundry, it is not a self-service coin system; instead, a man who said he is the owner handles it for you, takes cash payment directly, and then enters the room to put the clothes back for you. Aside from this laundry drop-off, there was actually no standard room service provided throughout our entire 3 night stay. Beyond the room setup, the overall stay felt quite uncomfortable because it constantly felt like we were being watched, as the man appeared very frequently to check if everything was okay. Considering the high price we paid to stay over the weekend for such a tiny room, it simply wasn't worth it. I would highly recommend choosing a different area where you can get a more decent, proper hotel-level room for your money, especially if you are traveling with small kids.

GGuest UserThis was my first trip to Korea, and I arrived late at night. The immigration process took a while, and I was worried about missing my check-in time. However, the hotel responded immediately to my email, assuring me that 24-hour check-in was available, which was a huge relief. The location near the subway station is incredibly convenient, and the price is unbeatable. There's a 7-Eleven and other convenience stores nearby. Plus, there's a bakery (possibly a chain) that opens early in the morning, and their bread was delicious. Some reviews mentioned an odor, but I found that it wasn't an issue if I kept the shower room door closed. There was a thin pipe coming out of the shower room wall, and a small puddle of water would constantly form beneath it, but given the excellent value for money, I didn't mind. The room was small, but perfectly adequate for one person. For directions: Facing subway exit 6, walk past the 7-Eleven, then turn right at the corner coffee shop. Go about 10 meters, then turn right at the kink in the road (with a park on your left). You'll see the hotel almost immediately. If you're coming from Incheon Airport, take the limousine bus and get off at Baiton Hotel. Head left from there (I've included a picture looking at Baiton Hotel from around the coffee shop for reference). Disposable toothbrushes are provided. There's a charging cable by the bed, so you don't need to bring your own. There's also complimentary bottled water in the fridge. Fresh towels are available in the hallway. I'd love to make this my regular hotel, but I have one crucial request regarding safety. There's only one indoor staircase, and items were left on it, as well as a lot of trash waiting for collection outside (perhaps because it was a weekend and collection wasn't scheduled). This made me very concerned about safety. Please do not place anything on the staircase, as it's an evacuation route. While there were evacuation tools in the room, they wouldn't be usable in an emergency if the instructions weren't in Japanese. As for the trash outside, please move it to another location until collection, or at least put it in non-combustible containers. Everything else was perfect, but my profession makes me sensitive to safety, and the apparent lack of safety awareness was truly disappointing. I sincerely hope you will consider implementing solutions.

GGuest UserStayed in The EXTAY Lounge Jongno for one week vacation with my family. Everything was ok from the time we checked-in until check-out. Room is clean and looks new and well maintained including the toilet. The common dining area and convenience store at the 7th floor is a very nice addition to the hotel facility since you can easily grab a bite if you don't feel like going out early in the morning to have breakfast in the nearby restaurants downstairs. One thing we liked most is the location of the hotel which is very near to popular city attractions/palaces with Jongno3-ga as its nearest train station serving Seoul Subway Lines 1, 3, and 5. Euljiro 3-ga Station (Line 2, Circle Line) is just a walking distance from the hotel as well which is very good if you need to go places around Seoul with few transfers. Airport Limousine bus service is also very convenient as you can hop-off at the bus stop near exit 15 of Jongno3-ga station and walk just around 2-3 minutes to the hotel. Overall I give 2 thumbs up to this hotel for its cleanliness and the convenience it provides to its clients.

GGuest UserAmazing hotel! I was genuinely surprised to find such a great hotel at this price. It's super close to Myeongdong's main street and the subway station, so I highly recommend it to anyone traveling on a similar budget. The room was spacious, and they provided toothbrushes, toothpaste, and various toiletries. There was even a fridge in the room! Honestly, it exceeded all my expectations!

TTravel Around the World 88The hotel is in a great location. The rooms and bathrooms are on the smaller side, and the beds are quite firm and not very comfortable. The pillows are old and didn’t provide much support. The service, however, was excellent—staff were very diligent, kind, and helpful. Guests are supposed to bring out their own towels and garbage, but they even offered to help with that, which I really appreciated. They have free washing machine that was a plus!  Breakfast was good. At first, I thought it would just be bread and spreads, but they actually offer a decent variety that changes daily, which is quite nice for a small hostel. But you have to wash your own dishes after you done. Overall, would I recommend it? Yes, especially for people who don’t mind compact rooms. Would I stay here again? Probably yes, but I really hope they improve the bedding.

GGuest UserPros: Located right by Chungmuro Exit 7, with a very well-stocked convenience store downstairs. Cons: The cleanliness needs significant improvement. The electronic lock was a pain to use. While the visible areas of the room were passable, the hidden ones were just… speechless. Even though it had a balcony, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned. There was a full wall of built-in storage, but when I opened the shoe cabinet by the entrance, there was a used towel from a previous guest. The pillowcases were dirty, and the sheets had many stains. While this whole experience was pretty unacceptable, at least they did change everything for us the next day.

EEric N.Self check in, you scan the QR code at the desk and send your confirmation and passport through text, i did it with whatsapp. Then they give you the code to the door. Room is very minimalist: you get a fridge, a water room, a TV, and AC, which are all very decent. Don’t expect an amenity kit. The bed sheet had some old stains (seems like it has been washed but unable to get rid of the stain). I tried to not look at it and ignore it. But otherwise my sleep was good. Room is big enough that I could open my suitcases freely.

It’s also one of the more affordable options, making it both convenient & budget-friendly. It was the perfect base for exploring Seoul with ease. The rooms were clean & had all the necessary amenities. The receptionist was incredibly kind, very welcoming & helpful. He even made personalized stamps with our names for us to use during our stay, which was such a thoughtful touch. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

GGuest Userliving as 2 friends here for a week was very comfortable. most importantly they have an elevator. the room has an electric kettle, hair dryer, hair straightener, mini refrigerator. they also had several water bottles and cups prepared in the refrigerator. around 4 pieces of towels and 2 bathrobes. two trash cans and two paper towel boxes. makeup desk with a mirror near the bed and another long desk with a computer. not much storage but it was ok for us to keep our stuff in our luggages since we were staying for a short period. the room had a huge TV with connection to the internet, a PC with a keyboard and headphones. the double bed was very comfortable but i wish they had separate blankets. the bathroom was clean and nice, wasn’t too damp like in other places i’ve been to. a toothpaste, body wash, shampoo and conditioner were prepared in full size which was very thoughtful of them. they also have mirrors on the inside of the windows. outside the room they had a microwave for shared use. people at the reception were nice and friendly, especially one man that always greeted us with a smile. i’m not sure about the noise cancelling though. sometimes sounds from the hallway would scare us when the staff were cleaning other rooms, but it was still a pleasant stay. a couple bus stops and subway stations were in a comfortable distance from the hotel, there’s a bus that goes right to the Olympic Park from KSPO side. i recommend if you are looking for a place not too far from KSPO (40 min walk or a short bus ride).
