"Excellent hotel. The staff are polite and always happy to help with any queries. The rooms are good and spacious. The windows don't open, but in January, even with the AC off, the temperature was comfortable – neither cold nor hot. The ventilation system worked well. We slept great; the mattresses were good and not worn out. Breakfast was a bit sparse, but you won't go hungry. There's a Burger King on the other side of the hotel building. The beach is a 30-minute walk away, and on the way, there's a WTC mall with a McDonald's."

"Sara was the receptionist during checkin and she was very friendly and allowed late checkout on request. Free valet parking is available. The room was spacious, clean and aesthetically very pleasing. The breakfast next morning was one of best I have had - good variety and very tasty. Even during checkout the concierge and other staff were friendly and trying their best to help with our luggage. One of my best stays in Abu Dhabi and highly recommend Sheraton Khalidiya to everyone."

"This hotel is quite old, and my room had a musty smell that wasn't very pleasant. The facilities in the room were very retro. The gym, though old, was fairly well-equipped, but people from outside would rent it out for dance practice, and their shouting and yelling were quite disruptive. However, when there's an exhibition or a tourist rush in Abu Dhabi, you don't have many other options, so I just made do for three days. On my first day, I even found stains on the bedsheets, which was just unacceptable. For a hotel under the Millennium name, this standard is really low. I guess it might be an older hotel that's been outsourced."

"I really like this hotel, and this is not my first time staying here. I always choose it because I enjoy the overall experience. However, there are a few issues that I hope can be improved. The air conditioning in the rooms never seems to get cold enough, which makes the room uncomfortable. Also, the room has an unpleasant smell, and the pillows and duvet don’t smell fresh either. Another issue I experienced was with the room lights. They were too bright, and I couldn’t make the room dark enough at night, so I didn’t feel comfortable while trying to sleep. I hope these issues can be addressed because I genuinely enjoy staying at this hotel and would love to continue coming back."

"The hotel is situated in a quiet area with no shops or restaurants within walking distance, but the room was spacious, clean, and I received a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which offered additional comfort."

"I booked a package that explicitly advertised a room upgrade opportunity. When I noticed that no upgrade had been provided, I asked about it at the front desk. I was immediately told that upgrades were “subject to availability” and it is unavailable... After I pointed out that Abu Dhabi hotels are nowhere near full at the moment, she still said it is nearly full because it's weekend. Well lets check out the 'full occupancy' photos i attached.... :) Only after I firmly pushed back did she reluctantly offer an alternative, a garden-view room. Since I wasn't interested in a garden view, I requested what should have been my original category preference: an unblocked city view. The alternative she eventually offered was a higher-floor, but with a twin room with even more side-facing view. Having no better option, I accepted it and ended up spending my honeymoon in a twin-bed room. If the hotel is unwilling to provide upgrades, then it should stop promoting packages that create expectations in the first place. There were several other shortcomings on the part of the front desk and the guest relations, but I will leave them out of this review. What ultimately saved this stay and turned it into a memorable experience were Umar, who warmly introduced us to the room, and John from the Butler Department, whose kindness and genuine care left a lasting impression. These two gentlemen genuinely understand what true hospitality means and are among the brightest representatives of Emirates Palace. The hotel management should recognize and take good care of them, because they are the people who make guests want to return."

"Very good hotel! Room: spacious, comfortable bed, clean linen. Yes, the equipment is not new, but everything is working, there is a washing machine, clothes dryer, microwave, kettle. There is a supermarket nearby with a very large selection, you can buy groceries and cook. There is an excellent beach not far from the hotel, a wide coastline, clean water, few people. You can get anywhere from the hotel by bus. The hotel has a gym, we visited it in the evenings. We stayed in this hotel for 4 days, then headed to Dubai. I really regretted that we had planned more days in Dubai, it would have been better in this place, and a couple of days in Dubai."

"I traveled from Dubai to Abu Dhabi myself, and first of all, parking was very convenient. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the decor is beautiful. It had a lovely Christmas atmosphere. If you park in the underground garage, it can be a bit tricky to find your way up, as each hotel's elevators are different, so keep that in mind. The room was also spacious, and the staff were very friendly. I especially want to mention that the hotel's breakfast was fantastic – absolutely delicious! If you go early, it's practically empty. Just a heads-up: the air conditioning can be quite strong, so I recommend wearing long sleeves."

"First of all at check in we were proposed to choose between renovated room of the smaller size (which costs much less than the room type we booked) or originally booked, but not renovated. We have chosen the room type according our booking and got an extremely old room with dirty windows and hardly working air conditioner. However, this one was presented to us as an upgrade to see view (no view though because of dirty windows). The next morning we complained about that and were moved to an amazing renovated real sea view room. Which was great. So, I don’t know how to comment on the 5-star hotel because of this experience. If you are lucky or are ok to fight for your comfort, everything will be fine :) Breakfast is amazing, and you can order additionally number of dishes not presented at the Buffet including avocado and salmon. Pool is great too. Also, the bus stop which will get you to museum island is 5 min walking distance."
