The room was incredibly spacious with breathtaking views from the window. The bathroom had a bathtub, and the shower pressure was surprisingly strong for a high-altitude location, which was very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner, included with the stay, were different every day and delicious. Catching the sunrise in the morning is an exclusive experience for guests, and on the last day, I even got to see the 'Morgenrot' (alpenglow), which was absolutely amazing. On Thursday evenings, there's a free stargazing event with commentary from University of Bern researchers, where you can admire the beautiful night sky through the hotel's top-floor telescope.

This seemed to be the cheapest hotel in Zermatt, which was a lifesaver for a solo student traveler like me (even though it was still incredibly expensive!). While it only had basic amenities, including a shower and a bathtub, it was perfectly sufficient for a solo trip. What stood out the most was how incredibly kind the front desk staff were. I bothered them by asking for hot water two days in a row and for an early check-out while they were busy, but they never showed any annoyance and even told me not to apologize. I truly appreciated their help.
I'd recommend this place to Japanese travelers (especially students), but be aware that you can hear a lot of noise from other rooms, so if you're sensitive to sound, you might want to look elsewhere.

- super good location: the hotel is located near the Tasch station like 1-min walk and can go to Zermatt just 20 mins by train (only 1 stop). Super easy for transporting
- the room is clean and big
- the aminities are provided (except the toothpaste and toothbrush). There also have a shower gel but I’m not sure if it’s can be shampoo
- good breakfast
- have Coop at the opposite the hotel (~3-min walk)
Cons:
- Small bathroom with a sloped ceiling, so you have to bend while showering.
- Surprising with an elevator, you have to open the door by yourself and it has no barrier between you and the elevator shaft, you can feel the walls sliding past as it moves.

the location was good. u can see matterhorn clearly but unfortunately there is a big construction crane block some view. On the way to hotel from zermatt station if you follow the google map, it gonna lead u to hard way, very high upslope hill. it will be better if hotel provide u the easy path way to hotel.

The hotel was quite easy to find actually. Just follow the directions on Google Map. We had the family room which was at the top level (2 flight of stairs) and comes with a balcony. Their rooms don't have matterhorn views but the breakfast restaurant has a beautiful and clear view. Very comfy and no frills stay here!

It's about a 10-minute walk from Zermatt station. It's in the opposite direction from the main street, but it has a quiet and calm atmosphere.
The cable car to Sunnegga is right there (3-minute walk).
There was no kettle in the room, but they provided boiled water (if you asked), which was very helpful as I used it a few times.
There was no sauna or pool, but the room had a bathtub so I was able to relax quite well.
The outside temperature was quite low (even though it was September), so it was cold, but the room was heated so I was able to stay comfortably.
The transfer to Zermatt station at check-out was 5 francs per person. (Free for those who book directly)

I could definitely see why this hotel has such high ratings. It's less than a two-minute walk from Zermatt train station.
The hotel has a cozy Alpine style, and the room was much larger and more comfortable than I expected.
It was great to see that both the room and the bathroom were maintained in pristine condition.
The breakfast was truly, truly excellent. It was such a clean and well-presented spread that no further explanation is needed. I was absolutely amazed by the breakfast throughout my entire three-day stay.
Another great advantage of this hotel is the afternoon tea time (from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM). The coffee, drinks, and soft bread perfectly relieved the pressure of Zermatt's incredibly high prices.
This is the best hotel, and I would love to visit again if I get the chance.

The hotel boasts an excellent location and a unique, tasteful decor with wooden elements throughout, which I really loved. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, changing daily. You can even see the Matterhorn from the balcony, though my view from the second floor was unfortunately somewhat limited. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the single rooms are a bit on the smaller side. It's very convenient for the train station and exploring the town, with a Coop supermarket, shops, and restaurants all conveniently located nearby. After a 2-night stay, it was overall a very pleasant experience!

Very good view right in the hostel room. I like that it's not bunker bed, there's also a small and short partition between beds which is good. Breakfast is yummy, kitchen staff asked for feedback, shows that they care. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Only complaint is the shower which needs to be pressed consistently to get the water flowing. Another thing to note is that it's an effort going up the slope to the hostel and then up the stairs to your dorm room.

The highlight of my stay was the warm hospitality from the owners, Thor and Michele. They personally served the buffet breakfast every morning, which was both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. On my first day, I unfortunately missed breakfast, but as I was heading out around 10:45 am, they surprised me by reserving some food for me to enjoy before leaving. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that truly made me feel cared for.
The room itself was immaculate and had everything I needed. The balcony offered a stunning mountain view, which was a perfect way to start and end each day. Thor and Michele went above and beyond to make me feel like a VIP throughout my stay. They remembered my name, attended to every need, and even took the time to explain the local attractions and recommend food options based on my preferences.
I feel incredibly lucky to have secured two nights at this gem of a hotel, especially since it’s almost always fully booked. This was one of the most personal and heartwarming stays I’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Zermatt, staying here is an absolute must. Thank you, Thor and Michele, for making my trip so memorable!

Room was really nice and the extra sauna and open concept bathtub was a nice surprise! Breakfast spread was super delicious as well. SSunyiqingThis hotel is our lucky hotel! We ended the bitter wind and rain in Switzerland here and finally saw the Matterhorn! This hotel itself is also great. The interior layout and design are very cleverly using the elements of the Matterhorn. Moreover, we only made a temporary reservation at 6 or 7 last night. The lady at the front desk upgraded our room type. The room is so big and has a large balcony. There are free coffee and tea in the room. Their breakfast is also great. Because I was in a hurry to go up the mountain in the morning, I didn’t take any photos, but the breakfast is very rich, with various fresh fruits such as strawberries and kiwis, freshly fried meats such as bacon and grilled sausages, as well as vegetables such as broccoli and mushrooms, as well as various breads, juices and milk, and even freshly squeezed orange juice. You can also go to the bar and order a cappuccino. In short, you can eat very satisfying! The best thing is that this hotel also has a pick-up service. We originally had to drag the big box to the train station for more than ten minutes, and the small car took us directly there. It took a few minutes and arrived super fast! I promise that I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I come to Zermatt!

Although the hotel upgraded the room and there is a large terrace, the building is too low and the view in front is blocked. I don't know if this price is for the first floor. I'm also speechless. But the hotel has three swimming pools and the facilities are great. But the first floor room has a smell. It feels big. It's like the smell of wooden furniture. It's very smelly. Although they helped to deal with it, I didn't want to be sprayed with air freshener again. I didn't feel very comfortable staying for one night. There is a shuttle bus to and from the hotel. When I went there, I forgot that I had walked there. I took a detour and walked for a long time.

Supermarkets were walking distance away, and even food options were many like macdonalds, western food, etc.
the receptionist was warm and friendly and even extended us for an early check in when rooms are available.
The hotel was overall very cozy and clean, suitable for a short stay. The necessities are provided like soap, towels, hair dryer, tissue! Just note that there is no fridge in the room if that was your concern. Other than that, perfect stay!

Upon arriving in Zermatt and taking the Gornergrat Bahn, it is highly recommended to call the hotel in advance so they can arrange luggage pickup at Riffelberg station. Pulling luggage by yourself can be quite challenging, as the path involves walking through snow and crossing ski areas.
One of the highlights of this hotel is the breathtaking and unobstructed view of the Matterhorn. The mountain is clearly visible from the hotel area, and there is truly no need to go elsewhere just to enjoy this iconic view.
The outdoor jacuzzi is a wonderful feature; however, on some days the water temperature was not warm enough, making it comfortable to use only on certain occasions.
Dinner is served as a set course menu. Each evening, there are two main dish options: one meat dish (which changes daily, such as beef, pork, or fish) and one vegetarian option. The food quality is very good and tasty, but the service is relatively slow — completing the full course takes around two hours.
The hotel is well equipped with an elevator that provides access to all floors, which is very convenient, especially when carrying belongings.
