Hotels near Central World, Bangkok

The beds and rooms were clean, but after closing the doors, the signal and 5G reception were very poor, and the Wi-Fi was weak. We had to open the doors to use the internet. The host was friendly and could speak English. The hot water sometimes didn't work, but overall it was fine. The location is near the train station and Pratunam Market, so booking a car might lead to traffic jams; it's better to go to the main road or take a motorbike.

Another stay! I always book a night here before leaving Bangkok, mainly for shopping. The location is incredibly convenient, right next to Big C and across from CentralWorld. While the hotel facilities are quite old, the price is really good for a downtown hotel. If you're not planning to spend much time in the hotel and just need a place for a layover, purely for shopping, then this is definitely a good option.

Hotel located near Platinum Mall inside an alley. Area surrounding Pratunam are mostly under the MRT construction with sidewalk and road side are barricaded to a certain extent. Basic amenities. Booked 2 deluxe twin room but unfortunately no where in the published info that it was mentioned that there is no lift access to this room type and only walk up staircase which are pretty steep. Got the surprise news upon arrival despite message send to hotel to inform travelling with elderly and require lift access few months back. Recovery was made by placing the elderly in a lift accessible floor. But damage is done as families are separately in different floor. Further attempt to salvage the situation was made by the hotel manager Khun Bi for subsequent nights by placing us in deluxe king room to be on same floor with the elderly and following stay returned to no lift zone 1st floor for Deluxe Twin Room and then move back to Deluxe King with lift access. Appreciate her effort but whole matter could have be coordinated better between Trip.com, the agent and the hotel to improve the customer experience considering customer have informed upfront on the must have requirement on lift access. Feedback given on adding that no lift access for Deluxe Twin Room in Trip.com app which have been updated now when select room type to view.

My flight was in the early hours, so I just randomly booked a hotel near the Siam shopping area. To my surprise, it was incredible value for money! It had a balcony, a full kitchen with pots, pans, a microwave, and a large fridge. A two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit for only 420 (currency not specified). The hotel is within walking distance of several Siam malls, making shopping and dining super convenient. Downstairs, there's a 7-Eleven and massage shops everywhere. The cleanliness was fine, though the facilities were a bit old, but well-maintained. There were only two elevators, so wait times could be long. The front desk staff spoke Chinese, making communication seamless. On the 8th floor, there's complimentary drinks, fruit, and desserts available all day. If you're on a budget but want to be close to the shopping district, and prefer a lively and convenient neighborhood, this place is a must-try!

Location is quite good, there is a local street market just foot steps away from hotel and you can get really good dishes all within 15 minutes, but it closes around 8 p.m. You can easily hire a grab bike nearby, to get to the other spots in town. Many complained that the showering room was too tiny and could barely move but I felt it was fine, I am 5 inch 10 feet and weigh 170 lbs for reference. The room and the hallways have lots of design that I feel the vibe for hotels in Southern Europe, a good plus. Pity that there's no indoor gym or pool but a bit of search could find a match nearby.

Good point: all clean, toilet clean, good water pressure in bathroom, nearby 7e Bad experience : old pillow & bad experience on the body massage. Don't know if the massage place beside the hotel lobby owned by the hotel but they put the advertisement for it on receptionist counter & in the hotel rooms too. My 3days trip was for leisure & food & Thai massage so I was really excited to get body massage, & that's why I booked this hotel bcs near massage place. But get bad experience. The lady that massage me was not gentle, I got bruised skin & ache, she keep gossiping with staff that massage the person beside me & I can't relax. I checked-in hotel at 2200pm then I went down again for a massage bcs I planned to get a massage everyday for my trip (yea, I was really excited for the massage, even at night & tired bcs just arrive but still I want body massage). I told the lady to be gentle & not press hard when massage bcs I'm in pain, but she argued that I was in pain bcs I refused to upgrade the massage with using oil (have to add certain amount, can't remember). I said to her that before this like 20 times I've been getting Thai massage for over 10 years already & I never in pain. I said that she pressed too hard & not gentle & I showed her the pressure that I want by squeezed her hand. She said that I was stingy bcs don't want to upgrade to using oil. I said that it's not about money, but I don't like oil massage & it's never been a problem before at other place. After that she slow her pressure when massage but she keep talking with her friend & sometime can feel she doesn't seriously massage me. Bcs of that bad 1 hour massages, I can't go to massage everyday like I initially planned bcs the lingering pain is still there. Even now I'm back home, the pain & bruise still there. To summarise, the room is okay bcs my checklist for good hotel room is short (clean & good water pressure) but please get full body massage elsewhere. I don't want anyone else to feel traumatised like me bcs Thai body massage is really good, just find other place to get massage, not at this hotel.

They offer a shuttle service to the BTS station, so you don't have to wake up super early. You can just finish breakfast and then ask the reception to book the shuttle – the timing is perfect! Though, to be fair, it's not a super long walk either. The breakfast is pretty good too; you choose a main dish and then it's a semi-buffet. And the staff even speak a bit of Chinese! That's impressive! You can ask reception for a toothbrush, but you have to ask every day, haha... Oh, but the mirror facing the bed is a bit... well. It's not too far from Lumpini Park either, which is great! However, it's a bit of a walk from the airport rail link station.

The location of Bangkok City Hotel is truly excellent. It's a five-minute walk to CentralWorld and Big C, and within walking distance to Paragon, Erawan Shrine, MBK, and Chulalongkorn Night Market. This is a huge convenience for exploring Bangkok, where taxis can be expensive. There are two 7-Eleven convenience stores nearby, and CentralWorld offers plenty of dining options. The hotel facilities are just average, but the staff are quite friendly. The biggest downside to this hotel is the occasional appearance of small insects, including tiny cockroaches. If you're bothered by this, you might want to reconsider.

The hotel is conveniently located near the BTS, and the service is excellent – warm and polite. The single room is quite small, a bit like a Japanese hotel room, but for the price, it's not really an issue. Just be aware that it has a small single bed, so it's only suitable for one person.
