"Pros: Location is very good right next to Big C and across CentralWorld Lobby is big and well lit Room is big Bed is firm (but not too hard) Cons: Hotel is very old and you can really smell it - the carpets along the corridor and in the room has a strong musty smell. I didnt dare sit on the chairs due to worries about lice and mites Bathroom old and moldy, there's hot and cold tap for the shower but the cold tap was stuck , needed a maintenance person to come and unlock the tap (he came quite fast, within 10 minutes and fixed the problem immediately, apparently it is a common problem). There were big insects in the room, like a huge silverfish kind of insect creeping around the door and bathroom (not cockroach but maybe i didnt see it. I will not stay here again."

"I had an amazing stay at Pratunam Family House 2. The staff were very kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location is perfect—it’s within walking distance of Platinum Mall, Pratunam Market, and many restaurants and convenience stores. I felt safe throughout my stay, and the service exceeded my expectations. For the price, this hotel offers excellent value. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok."

"### AMAZING, wonderful experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SERVICE: Very good. Everyone is polite, always smiling, and helpful. LOCATION: Well-located, close to Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy. VENUE: On the 6th floor, they have a dining area where you can bring your own food or buy it there. The locker is perfect—very large and equipped with a digital lock. The only downside is a gap between the top and bottom lockers; I ended up losing an item to the locker below because of it. CLEANLINESS: Cleanliness was spotless—bathrooms, rooms, common areas..."

"The hotel is quite close to BTS Chit Lom station, about a 7-8 minute walk, and there's a tuk-tuk shuttle service available. It's an apartment-style suite, roughly 350 square feet, fully furnished, and very comfortable. Plus, the price is really budget-friendly. Highly recommended!"

"For those looking to book, check out my review: First off, the hotel is pretty new overall, with a pool on the top floor and free tea and coffee (self-service). Breakfast is a simple sandwich meal. The prices aren't high, and I really appreciated the 24-hour front desk, which makes checking out easy, especially if you have a red-eye flight. Before checking in, they'll ask you about disposable amenities and your preferred cleaning time. There's a Chinese instruction sheet, so you just point to what you need. I chose 12 PM for cleaning, and my room was always tidied up when I got back in the afternoon. The room itself isn't big, quite small actually, but you can still move around normally with luggage opened. The bathroom has no strange smells (shower gel and shampoo are provided). I'm not sure if it's because there were no neighbors, but I didn't hear any noise, so you'll have to judge the soundproofing for yourselves. For around 200 a night, I think it's quite a good deal. The bed was super soft, which I'm not used to. It's about a 10-minute walk to nearby malls and also 10 minutes to the popular skybridge for photos. Taking a motorbike taxi to Chulalongkorn University Night Market is very convenient from there. To get into the hotel, you need to go through an alley, about 600-700 meters. The area around is residential, with a square-like space where people sell late-night snacks (local delicacies) even at 10 PM. There's also a massage parlor nearby, with similar prices to others (probably needs reservations, so I didn't go). If you take a taxi, the driver will drive into the alley and drop you off right at the hotel, so you don't need to walk from the alley entrance or worry too much. When calling a taxi, the driver will also come to the hotel entrance, so I recommend going downstairs when the car is almost there. The lobby had a sewer smell though. Traffic in Bangkok is super congested, so be prepared. If you have a flight the next day, definitely allow an extra half hour! I booked a taxi to the airport a day in advance, and the driver was 45 minutes late, possibly due to morning rush hour, but it's generally always congested. (The above is my experience for your reference.) Hope you all have a fun time in Bangkok! P1: You can easily spot the skybridge for photos when walking there, no need to specifically look for it. P3: Just buy one hotel sandwich, it's enough for two people if you split it (the nearby 7-Eleven felt a bit far to me). P4: Durian bought from under a residential building, 20 RMB. P5: If you want to experience Thai massage and don't want to search, check out the one near the hotel. It seemed more affordable compared to where I went. Anyone who's tried it, feel free to share your thoughts."

"Right above the McDonald's in Pratunam, step out and you're on the busiest street! Eating, drinking, entertainment, massages, and shopping are all within walking distance, saving a ton of time on transportation! What really impressed me was the bed 🛏️ – so comfortable I slept right through the night without any issues adapting to a new bed. The room was also very clean, and the night view from the window was beautiful. I even got a little surprise for my birthday 🎂🐘 during my stay! The hotel prepared a cute towel elephant and a birthday card, which was incredibly thoughtful and looked adorable in photos! The service also deserves praise. After check-in, the staff quickly helped deliver my luggage to the room; they were efficient and friendly. 💯 Location + Comfort + Service = All top-notch! Next time I come to Bangkok, this hotel will definitely be on my re-stay list. Highly recommend to anyone planning to stay in Pratunam! ✨"

"The hostel is decent, but I really can't stand not being able to hang laundry. Having to gather all the dirty clothes to wash them together just makes them smell worse. There's even a designated drying area on the balcony, so why can't we use it? I like to hand wash my clothes every day to keep them clean and fresh. The owner should really consider this."

Cleanliness: Attention to detail in cleanliness was evident; both the room and bathroom were spotless, and the bedding was very comfortable for sleeping. AAnonymous UserWe loved it here so much. The view from the pool is nice as well as from the gym. I wish we would have stayed longer. The breakfast buffet is tasty and they give you 2 waters per day. Loved the big smart tv, the water pressure and cleanliness of the room. We went to lifestyle mall close by, took a grab to chinatown, visited iconsiam and 2 temples while staying here. It's lovely and relaxing after a long day out and the pool bar makes good drinks too. Thank you for the kindness, we hope to come back soon

GGuest Userit was an AWESOME STAY but location is a little hard to find at first. overall place was clean and people were friendly! toilet was CLEAAAAN. there is also a communal hairdryer it works pretty well. at night there is a fish auction i think. therefore, walking to 711 at 3am is pretty safe. personally as there is more people there late at night i feel it is safer. it is located beside the fish market so if you're sensitive to smells it might not be suited for you. there is also an ATM nearby. The BTS and pier is also near the hostel therefore transportation is prettty solid. lots of common areas to do your work! rooms are pretty soundproof as well! i did NOT encounter much mosquitos surprisingly! i had a mosquito bite like 5 times throughout my stay. i did not wear insect repellent at all! able to put your own food in the common fridge. shoe locker is also provided! there is also a locker to put all your stuff. there is luggage space but it is in the common area and the door is easily accessible. please do buy a lock for your luggage bedding is GOOD, mattress is GOOD, pillow can get uncomfortable though, not much neck support. a really good seafood buffet located beside the hostel! overall, i would DEFINITELY COME BACK! loved my stay there. if you're not bothered by fish smells this is probably the place for you!

AAlexTannThis hotel was the last stop on our trip to Thailand. Compared to The Nai Harn, it felt grander and more business-oriented, which was evident from the breakfast spread – definitely geared more towards business travelers. We stayed on the executive floor, though it wasn't an executive room itself... which I found a bit odd. The hotel's decor has a retro, old-fashioned vibe, making it feel less like a holiday retreat for me personally. However, these weren't major issues. The staff's service attitude was consistently excellent. The main pool was quite busy, possibly because two youth football teams were staying there, so there were lots of people playing and having fun. It was still a good experience overall.

GGuest UserThe hotel service is excellent, with a complimentary shuttle boat to the Sathorn pier. If you want to go to ICONSIAM, it's only 12 baht, with round trips every hour, which is very convenient. There's a Ferris wheel night market nearby that's great for strolling around. The hotel provides tuk-tuks to take you to the night market anytime, allowing you to enjoy it as much as you like. The hotel's location is superb, making it easy to get anywhere. They offer airport pick-up and drop-off services; booking these in advance yourself is much cheaper than booking a taxi online. The hotel staff are very welcoming, and I had a very comfortable stay. If it's your birthday, the hotel even provides a small complimentary birthday cake. Exploring the night market and taking a cruise on the Chao Phraya River at night was a wonderful travel experience.

SSS05Holiday Inn Bangkok: Perfect Solo Weekend Retreat Near Emsphere I recently spent a relaxed long weekend (just over two nights) solo at Holiday Inn Bangkok, right next to Emsphere mall. As an NRI zipping between Hong Kong and Bangkok for work, I needed a hassle-free spot with easy access to shopping, dining, and BTS— this nailed it. Location (5/5): Smack in Sukhumvit's heart, it's a 1-min walk to Emsphere's trendy shops, cinemas, and food scene. BTS Phrom Phong is 5 mins away, making airport runs and city jaunts effortless. No taxi drama in Bangkok traffic! Room & Comfort (4.5/5): My superior room was spotless, modern, and spacious for solo use— king bed was plush, blackout curtains ensured deep sleep despite city buzz. Huge bathroom with rain shower and amenities felt luxurious. Minor nitpick: AC was a tad noisy at night, but earplugs fixed it. Free Wi-Fi was speedy for my work calls. Service & Facilities (4/5): Staff were warm and efficient—check-in was instant, and they upgraded my view gratis. Gym and pool on the 8th floor offered stunning skyline vistas; poolside was quiet for solo unwinding. Breakfast buffet was solid (fresh Thai/Western options), but could use more variety for repeat stays. Value (4.5/5): At ~THB 4,500/night (booked via app), it's a steal for the location and IHG perks. Quiet for a city hotel, ideal for solo travelers avoiding party vibes. Overall: 4.5/5. Highly recommend for short business-leisure trips. Will return!

GGuest UserAddressed to Jon Warmington, the General Manager I recently stayed at Grand Mercure Bangkok Atrium room 842 from 27 May to 1 June and would like to share some feedback regarding my experience. First and foremost, I would like to emphasize that I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The hotel, facilities, and the majority of the team members provided excellent service, and overall I had a pleasant experience. In fact, I am not the type of guest who frequently raises complaints. During my travels, I spend very little time in my hotel room. Most of my day is spent outside the property, and my interaction with the hotel is generally limited to breakfast and sleeping. As such, it takes a significant issue for me to feel compelled to formally raise a concern. The first issue relates to breakfast. During my stay, I invited a Muslim friend to join me for breakfast. He entered the restaurant with me but did not consume any food because he was unable to find suitable options that met his dietary requirements. While I acknowledge that I did not raise this directly with the restaurant team at the time, I was surprised when Reception later informed me that they had verified that my friend had taken breakfast. From my perspective, entering the restaurant should not automatically be considered as consuming breakfast when no food was actually taken. Nevertheless, I have decided to let this matter rest and move on. The second issue is far more serious and is the primary reason for this email. On my final night at the hotel, I was expecting a visitor. However, Reception did not contact me to verify whether I was expecting anyone before allowing my visitor access to the guest floors. Instead, my visitor was simply directed to my room and arrived at my door unannounced. Having worked within the Accor group for approximately 15 years as a Duty Manager in Singapore, I am very familiar with hotel operational procedures, guest privacy standards, and security protocols. It has always been my understanding that when a visitor arrives for an in-house guest, Reception should first contact the guest to obtain authorization before granting access to the room floors. While my visitor was indeed expected on this occasion, Reception had no way of knowing that without contacting me first. Had the visitor not been known to me, this could have resulted in a serious security and privacy issue. In my professional opinion, allowing a visitor direct access to a guest room without prior verification is unacceptable and falls short of the standards expected from an Accor property. What further disappointed me was the handling of the matter after I raised my concern. I wish to be clear that I am not seeking compensation of any kind. My concern is not financial. Rather, I expect an appropriate resolution and acknowledgement of the seriousness of the issue. Simply being told ”sorry” was not sufficient given the nature of the security lapse. The alternatives presented to me by the Night Manager were also, in my view, unreasonable. One option was for me to move to another room on my final night. Considering that I was due to check out the following morning, I found this solution impractical and disruptive. Being asked to pack my belongings and relocate because of an issue that was not caused by me did not seem to be an appropriate resolution. I was also informed that a Reception Manager would speak with me. However, I was unable to wait indefinitely for the manager's arrival. As a guest who was raising a legitimate concern, I do not believe I should have been expected to delay my evening plans or remain available for an uncertain period of time. Furthermore, I was scheduled to leave the hotel at 7:00 AM the next morning in order to arrive at the airport early for my flight. For these reasons, I felt that the issue was not properly addressed during my stay, which is why I am bringing it directly to your attention. I am raising this matter not only as a guest but also

SSmallduckThe hotel is located in the city center, but quite deep within an alley, though they do offer a shuttle service. The staff provided excellent service; everyone was friendly, smiling, and attentive. The room was clean, and the hotel itself is relatively new. The room layout was good, and it was fully equipped. Personally, I really liked it. There's also a cafe downstairs with good coffee. If I have the chance, I'll definitely stay here again. We checked in late, and the hotel upgraded our room. The room had a microwave, a coffee machine, and all the dishes and utensils you could need. One night wasn't enough; next time I'll stay for two nights. If you're hesitant, I highly recommend it; I personally think it's great.

AAnasdanWe stayed at this hotel for two nights. Cons The rooms are very outdated. Furniture, walls, corners, and the bathroom show visible wear and damage. The rooms clearly need renovation. The photos on the listing do not reflect the current condition of the rooms. They look much newer than they actually are. A stove was listed as an amenity, but in reality it was not usable — it was covered with a fixed wooden panel and could not be opened. There is no tea or coffee in the room, despite a coffee machine being shown in the photos. Tea is available at the reception during daytime only. The air conditioner is very noisy. It is controlled via a wall panel (no remote control) with limited settings, and even on the lowest mode the noise is noticeable. There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom, so steam stays in the room after showering unless the door is opened. The TV offers only Thai channels. There is no Smart TV and no option to connect a phone. The kitchen area has a sink, cabinets, and basic dishes, but it is not functional due to the lack of a stove. Despite cleaning, the room looks visually worn because of the overall condition of the walls and ceiling. Pros The bed is comfortable, with two pillows per person. Clean bed linen. The bathroom was clean, with good water pressure. The room includes a new hairdryer, a refrigerator, dishes, and cutlery. There is a balcony facing the courtyard, where smoking is allowed. The staff were polite and helpful. The receptionist spoke good English and explained everything clearly, and the housekeeping staff were also very friendly. The hotel provides a golf cart shuttle to nearby shopping malls. The location is convenient, close to M-Sphere, Emporium, and the M District, which was the main reason we chose this hotel. Overall Suitable for a short stay of one night. The main drawback is the outdated rooms and mismatch with the photos. The location and staff are the hotel’s strongest points.

KKaung - the travellerTGreat Location, Good Value, and a Nice Pool I recently stayed at Furama Silom Bangkok and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel’s biggest strengths are its excellent location, reasonable pricing, and rooftop pool with fantastic city views. The property is conveniently located in the Silom area, making it easy to access restaurants, street food, shopping, public transportation, and nightlife. For travelers looking for a central base in Bangkok without spending too much, it offers very good value for money. The rooftop pool was one of the highlights of my stay. It provides a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful views of the Bangkok skyline, especially during sunset. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering good value for the price paid. The staff were generally polite and helpful when needed, although the service was fairly standard rather than exceptional. Check-in and daily interactions were smooth, but there was nothing particularly memorable about the service experience. That said, the hotel would benefit from some renovations and maintenance updates. Certain areas of the property appear dated, and some room facilities could be improved to meet modern expectations. While everything was functional, refreshing the interiors would significantly enhance the overall guest experience. Overall, Furama Silom remains a solid choice for travelers seeking a well-located hotel with good facilities at a fair price. With some improvements and modernization, it could be an even better place to stay in Bangkok.
