"Compared to when it first opened six years ago, the transportation is much more convenient now – the road in front has been repaired, and the lobby has added a special tea bar area and a children's play area. The hotel courtyard now connects to the scenic walking trail next door, making it livelier, but also less tranquil. For the same price, six years ago you could get an unobstructed view room with a bathtub; now you have to pay an extra 200 [yuan/local currency unit] for that. The self-built houses next door now block most of the view. However, the top-floor hot spring and sauna still offer a complete view of the Yingxi Peak Forest. Given that the overall economic environment hasn't improved compared to six years ago, I feel the value for money has decreased significantly. Indeed, it's true that 'nothing is as good as the first time'… It's okay, but I probably won't be coming back."

"The room was simple and clean. The water was fresh and I had hot water from the water dispenser after check-in, which was very convenient since I didn't use my own kettle. The disposable towels provided were also a nice touch. It was convenient, clean, and didn't take up much space. The large floor-to-ceiling windows had a great view."

"The hotel is located on 'Swan Lake' which made for pretty photos from our room balcony. The rooms were clean and spacious, with bottled water replaced every day. There was a fridge, but no mini bar. It was very quiet when we stayed, it seemed like tour groups came for 1 night then left the next The attractions the other side of the lake was fun. We loved the glass bridge and the motorboats as well as the bumper cars and road train. You will need to pay extra for some of the attractions, but at a minimal cost. The cave was amazing, and the lighting helps with the atmosphere. Our guide spoke in Mandarin, but this didn't hinder our enjoyment, plus other tourists were happy to translate 😀. There was lots of choice at breakfast, but it didn't really change from one day to the next. I rekindled my love of boiled peanuts! The hot springs were indeed hot, but they were a little rundown, with some of the spa areas not working. Over all, We had a lovely stay. The staff were friendly and helpful."

"This pet-friendly B&B was worth the visit, even on a rainy day (the front desk even gave my little dog a welcome gift – pee pads, poop bags, and protective spray, all very useful!). Before arrival, the front desk attendant contacted me with parking directions, local attraction tips, and restaurant recommendations. Since it was raining, I decided to have dinner at the B&B's restaurant. The steamed sea bass was absolutely delicious! Plus, a friendly cat joined me for dinner, haha. The B&B's pool is quite large and the water is very clean; swimming in it was incredibly relaxing. Our room was in a Japanese tatami style, clean and odor-free. And for the southern climate, having dry and fresh bedding in the room is so important! After dinner, I took a stroll around the B&B. The surrounding green, rolling, misty hills were truly breathtaking. This is definitely a place I'd visit again."

Our tent room directly faced the mountains and water, with a gently flowing river right outside the door, continuous karst peaks in the distance, and tranquil bamboo forests all around. The interior of the tent was clean and comfortable, the bedding was soft, and there were no strange odors. Every detail was meticulously handled. The facilities were complete and thoughtful. It came with a private small hot tub and a cozy courtyard, with stone benches and tables that added to the ambiance. The platform offered an unparalleled view, and we even encountered adorable little rabbits, which was charming. The service was warm and attentive, making for a relaxed and comfortable stay. It's a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle, allowing you to immerse yourself in a slow-paced, mountain life. It's a top choice for a relaxing getaway, highly recommended!"

"I've already recommended this place to all my friends! The environment is fantastic; the guesthouse is perfectly integrated into the beautiful scenery of Yingxi Peak Forest. You can watch the sunrise in the morning and enjoy the sunset in the evening – it's truly a peaceful escape. The guesthouse design is very tasteful, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the mountain views like a natural painting. The rooms even have private hot spring pools, allowing you to soak while gazing at the mountains – simply blissful. In the evening, we went to the infinity pool on the fourth floor to swim and relax, chatting under the stars. You truly have to stay here to understand how wonderful the experience is. The service is attentive and perfect; from check-in to check-out, someone was always there to carefully look after us and was available whenever we needed anything. Parking and charging for electric cars are very convenient right outside, making it stress-free to travel anywhere. Everyone at the guesthouse is incredibly diligent and enthusiastic, and they even have two adorable cats! 🐱"

"The owner's wife has an excellent service attitude. They offer a home-style breakfast with plenty of choices like lean pork and offal congee, chive dumplings, fried rice noodles, eggs, milk, and freshly ground coffee – all you can eat. The ground floor lobby is cozy and decorated with a great artistic flair. In the evenings, everyone gathers to brew tea together, creating a wonderful atmosphere that feels like a mix of home and camping."

"I stayed at the Chocolate Kingdom Hotel in mid-October. At that time, some facilities were already showing their age and seemed a bit neglected, and there were fewer staff members. However, I truly felt their dedication in every service they provided; their excellent service more than made up for any shortcomings in the hardware. We had a hot spring package. The hot springs were less crowded during the day and more so at night, so it was good to go at off-peak times. The package also included two-day tickets to Chocolate Wonderland, and at that time, there was a shuttle cart service. When I went back in December, the shuttle was gone, so I want to warn fellow travelers that if you're not driving yourself, think very carefully before booking, as it's a 20-minute walk from the park to the hotel. But since there was a shuttle service in October, and I genuinely felt their dedication in every service, I'm giving a good review for that stay. For December, I'd give a bad review."

"I paid a hefty 1,610 yuan for this stay during the National Day holiday, but the experience was disappointing. First, the positives: First, the cleanliness was excellent. Third, the rural scenery was beautiful, with lush banana fields surrounding the property. Now for the negatives: First, the service wasn't worth the price. First, the breakfast was too basic. The hostess said the breakfast was excellent the night we checked in. Fearing we'd run out of options if we arrived too late, we went early the next morning. It was rush hour, and the place was a mess. You had to fight for anything you wanted, and the selection was limited: eggs, fried noodles, sweet potatoes, corn, and porridge. My wife asked for pickled mustard greens, which she had to buy right away. The fried noodles were good, but we had to wait in line to order more, and we didn't even finish our meal. I understand a simple B&B breakfast, but it's a bit unfair for guests to pay the price of a five-star luxury hotel in a first-tier city only to get such a simple breakfast. Also, since National Day is peak season, shouldn't the hotel be prepared in advance? Furthermore, the proprietress was stingy when serving breakfast, using the guise of saving money and avoiding waste to refuse extra portions. While avoiding waste is commendable, achieving perfect moderation is impossible. Again, compared to the 1610 yuan room rate, those few ears of corn, sweet potatoes, and fried noodles are only a fraction of the room rate. Secondly, although the restaurant has put effort into its facilities, they still fall short of those of a hotel."
