"I can say with certainty that the private rooms, common areas, and bathrooms are shared. However, the hotel takes great care with the rooms, especially the women's bathroom. Entry and exit require a key card at all times. And importantly, it was a new experience. At first, my husband wasn't okay with it 🤣 but I said, ”Let's try it, no harm done.” It was cleaner than I expected. Walking up the stairs, wow! The decor has been renovated; even though it's an old design, it has a classic feel to it. // If you have your own car, parking isn't free. There's a partner fee of 40 baht. Hotel parking isn't free; you have to pay yourself. If you're staying at the hotel, it's 40 baht. If you're watching a boxing match, it's 100 baht. There are people watching your car, so you don't have to worry about it getting stolen. Security guards monitor entry and exit to the parking lot."

"The hotel is located on a narrow, one-lane alley. While they do offer parking, it's limited to just 10 spots. If you're arriving by car, I recommend checking in and parking early, as spaces might be full if you arrive in the late afternoon or evening. If there's no parking available, you'll have to park at the temple across the street, which charges by the hour. The room was a bit small but had all the necessary amenities. Note that the TV is not a smart TV. The staff provided good service, and the breakfast was tasty, though the selection wasn't very extensive. Most of the guests were foreign tourists."

"This hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 15-minute walk from Wat Saket (Golden Mount). The Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaeo (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), and Wat Pho are only a few minutes away by motor-taxi. Being right next to the Chao Phraya River, you can also take a boat to Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). The hotel's facilities are great; the wet and dry areas in the bathroom are well-separated. The bed in the room is very comfortable, and there are power outlets conveniently located by the bed for charging. The room itself has a very stylish design, with a view of the pool from the room, yet you can't see into the rooms from the pool. The swimming pool downstairs is also quite nice and perfect for tourists."

"[Update] Trip.com contacted hotel staff after the report, which she called to apologize of unpleasantries. The hotel was a good value stay. The highlight is the pool area. Good-size bathroom, comfortable bed. The checkout was wonderful. The reception was extremely genuinely helpful with giving recommendations for massage and the service, offering to store luggage etc. [original incident on check in experience] DO NOT show up without cash. The staff is willing to go out of their way to make you feel comfortable if you show up without cash deposit. Although you have offered alternatives of transfer or credit card. I also asked where ATM was and was told ATM for my bank is far, please don’t walk. I asked what would she like me to do. She made sure I feel really unwelcome by telling me to forget about the deposit. It is fine - she will just be getting a warning from the management. This was my most unwelcoming check in experience with the passive aggressive comments. I ended up walking out to ATM feeling I had caused her burden otherwise. The room was OK to stay for the night. Please give your guests deposit options."

"I chose to stay here because I had business at the Pom Prap Sattru Phai District Office and it's within walking distance. The only issue was that the air conditioning in the room was quite warm. Even after they tried to fix it and I switched rooms, it was still hot. I asked my relative who booked another room, and they also said their AC wasn't very cool, making it hard to sleep. Other than that, everything else was good."

"Great value for money. We paid the same price as we would have for 2 dorm beds in a hostel for a nice big hotel room. Very clean with a big comfortable bed. Pool is nice. Good location but quite as it’s set back from the street. The only improvement I’d suggest is coffee in the rooms. The attached cafe is quite expensive for Thailand."

"1. In my reservation, check in time was 10 am, But they told me we don't care, our check in is late, if you have a problem contact trip... and i got checked in at 12.30 pm 2. In my trip reservation, check out time is 2pm, they again said no.. it is 12pm. 3. I booked single room with a high price, Room doesn't have essential stuff. Not worth the money. 4. The room door doesn't have lock!! If you are outside the room, you might not feel 100% safe about your things. I think if you find better alternatives than this one, you might go for them"

"When we are in Bangkok, we always choose Ayathorn. If you’re planning to explore the old part of Bangkok, this hotel is a great base. Many of the main attractions are within a 20–30 minute walk, and if you prefer, a short tuk-tuk ride gets you there even faster. There are also several very good local restaurants just a few minutes away on foot, which makes evenings easy and enjoyable. The rooftop is a nice plus perfect for cooling off after a long day of sightseeing, with a relaxing atmosphere, or for spending some time in the pool. One thing to be aware of is the major renovation works currently happening in front of the building, which can cause traffic congestion and some noise during the day. However, you can minimize this by booking a river-facing room, which is quieter. Also, if you arrive early, the hotel offers the option to check in before the standard time for an additional fee, which can be very convenient after a long flight."

"The front office team members are poorly trained . As the moment I was checking in the hotel, I have 4 luggages with me, none of the receptionist approach me to help me with luggages. There are 5 of them at the reception desk, 5 pairs of eyes staring at me with my hands full of luggages. Disappointed with the check in procedures. I stayed in suite room for one night, the bath tub at the balcony has little privacy and can be seen from ground floor, I was staying at level 4. There is a service desk with a tour agent, whenever I am stepping out of the hotel, he kept asking and pestering where I am going and trying to sell your packages. He is annoying. Otherwise, the stay was okay, plus point a Marshall Bluetooth speaker. The hotel is 10 mins walk from Khao San backpackers street, night time activities quite nice."

"This is a very good hotel. The room is very spacious, and the price is relatively affordable. However, the showerhead is fixed, and shampoo isn't provided, so I had to buy some at the convenience store downstairs. It was also a bit inconvenient that there was no charger near the bed."
