Pet friendly Hotels in Dali

"Stayed here for 2 nights, but in two different rooms, so I got to experience both. Overall, the hotel has a great view and a generally comfortable stay. It is a bit far from most main attractions, although it is relatively close to the railway station. There is a nearby bus station (Line 6), but getting to the Ancient Town and other popular areas is still quite far, so using Didi is often the easier option. The lobby also provides tea, coffee, and water, which is a nice touch. My first room was on the 2nd floor and felt very modern and new. The bed was especially comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-designed — I really liked this room. My second room was on the 5th floor, and there is no lift in the building, so carrying luggage up the stairs can be quite tiring. The staff kindly helped me, which I really appreciated, especially since it was quite a lot of effort. This room had a nice view, but it felt a bit older compared to the first one, especially the bathroom. If I had to choose, I personally preferred the first room for its newer feel and comfort, but both stays were still pleasant in different ways."

"The room was clean and tidy. It was really cold in Dali during the May Day holiday due to the rain, but luckily the air conditioning had a heating function, which was great! It's very close to the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, about a four-minute walk. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, helping us carry our luggage both ways. When we left, they even gave us flower cakes!"

"Facilities: The facilities are very new, and you can tell the owner and staff put a lot of thought into selecting them; they all have a stylish flair. Hygiene: It's kept very clean and feels comfortable. Environment: The decor is beautiful, making for a pleasant stay. Service: The two ladies at the front desk were very enthusiastic about suggesting places to visit and patiently answered all our questions. It was a great stay. Sweet Garden Double Afternoon Tea: The coffee was delicious, the desserts were excellent, and the fruit was fresh."

"The moment I arrived in Dali, I was captivated by the environment of Bujianshan. The room decor and the guesthouse's overall ambiance were absolutely amazing! I really love this ethnic-inspired design style; it's incredibly tasteful. We arrived at the guesthouse around 11 PM, and the owner kindly helped us carry our luggage to the second floor. Seeing that we had flowers, he thoughtfully provided a vase and scissors, which was super sweet. The owner is genuinely fantastic. We originally booked for three nights, but unfortunately, we couldn't stay in the same room for the third night due to availability, so we had to switch rooms. However, this allowed us to experience different room styles, and they were all fantastic! It's definitely a worthwhile stay, haha. Highly recommend! If I get the chance to visit Dali again, I'll definitely come back to Bujianshan. 😁😁"

"Extremely comfortable with welcome fruit, breakfast, and afternoon tea all provided. The mini-fridge was well-stocked too. The service was incredibly attentive; they were waiting for us half an hour before our high-speed train arrived, and the moment we stepped out, they were right there. It was super convenient for getting taxis and ordering takeout, and we didn't have to carry our luggage. The restaurants they recommended were all fantastic, we ate like kings! They even upgraded our room type, which had a stunning view, and there was a photographer available to take great shots of us at the hotel."

"The Hampton by Hilton Dali offers spacious rooms with a fridge and microwave, which is super convenient for longer stays. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide plenty of light, the place is clean, and the bedding is comfortable. The front desk staff are incredibly attentive and helpful. On weekends, the breakfast buffet is available until 10:30 AM and offers a wide variety of choices. They also have a laundry room and gym, and free parking is a great bonus. Definitely excellent value for money!"

"The B&B environment is superb. The terrace offers stunning mountain views and beautiful flowers, and the lounge chairs are very comfortable. The room curtains are lovely, and the attention to detail is impressive. The service is excellent, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. I'll definitely be back next time! It's fantastic; I stayed four nights, which goes to show how much I loved it."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B in Dali Ancient City. The location was perfect for us — tucked away in a peaceful corner near Dali Ancient City, yet only a short walk to the shops, cafés, and attractions. What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping us with our luggage, preparing breakfast every morning, and always making sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the rice noodles, which we looked forward to each morning. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful courtyard and the overall peaceful atmosphere. A couple of things to note for families and travellers with larger luggage. The beautiful courtyard has a koi pond running through parts of it, which adds to the charm, but I was constantly keeping an eye on my kids as I was worried they might accidentally fall in. Thankfully, nothing happened, but it’s something parents with young children may want to be aware of. Another consideration is luggage. Vehicles can stop near the property, but you’ll still need to carry your luggage across parts of the courtyard. If you’re staying on Levels 2 or 3, there is no lift, so luggage has to be carried up manually. The owner was kind enough to help us, but it’s still worth considering if you’re travelling with multiple large suitcases. For our family room, one small downside was that although the room was very spacious, there was only one air-conditioner serving the entire unit. The smaller bedroom felt a little stuffy and warm at night. That said, the owner was very responsive and quickly provided us with a fan the next day, which made a huge difference and solved the issue for us. Overall, the warmth of the host, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and peaceful setting far outweighed these minor inconveniences. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy and authentic stay in Dali. ❤️🏔️✨"
