"I booked this hotel without hesitation solely for the bunk beds with a slide, despite seeing many negative or mixed reviews on Xiaohongshu. To be honest, this phenomenon of villages being densely packed with guesthouses is common in places like Zhoushan too, and as long as there's no noise, I'm perfectly fine with it. The hotel breakfast is very generous; usually, sharing just two portions is enough for an entire family. They also offer different snacks every evening. Renting an electric scooter from the entrance is convenient, and the bicycles provided by the hotel are free. I contacted the concierge in advance to mention my child's birthday, and they kindly provided a complimentary 4-inch cake on the day. So sweet! 🎂"

"This hotel, Changliu Mountain Abode, shares its name with Changliu from 'The Journey of Flower' and boasts a wonderful ambiance. The guest rooms are not in the main lobby building but in a separate, independent building next to it. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a massage bed, which made for a very comfortable rest and a fantastic night's sleep. The balcony features a large bathtub, which adds a great touch to the atmosphere. Curtains around the tub ensure privacy, so there's no need to worry about that. The only minor drawback is that there's no indoor connecting passage between the two buildings. If it rains, you have to go outside, which means you could get wet. The hotel's advantages are quite prominent. It has a private gate that offers direct access to the popular Fish Scale Dam, making it very convenient for water activities. However, summer is peak season, and the Fish Scale Dam gets very crowded, so it's advisable to visit during off-peak hours. The thoughtful welcome amenities include a complimentary afternoon tea, and the breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of choices."

"A very satisfying trip! Since it was the off-season, there were fewer people, and the service was even more attentive. It's not just a hotel, but more like a community, with services like travel photography and a Chinese restaurant also open to the public. The coffee shop across the way, 'Dao Na Li', is a popular spot for Instagram photos, but hotel guests can enter for free. The service was excellent! The package I bought included afternoon tea, a travel photography session, and more. They even packed up our afternoon tea for us to take away. The staff were all very enthusiastic and helpful in resolving any issues. However, the restaurant, travel photography, and hotel seemed to operate independently. When I placed my order, it said I needed to book several days in advance, so I called before checking in. The attitude was good, but they kept telling me someone would contact me later, which created a slow information gap. The travel photographer added me on WeChat around 10:30 PM that evening, and the restaurant didn't add me. When I called to inquire, they asked for my room number, which I didn't have since I hadn't checked in yet. Upon arrival, the reception seemed a bit confused; I guess during the off-season, reservations aren't really necessary. There was also a tour group dining at the same time, with their guide using a megaphone to celebrate the festival, which truly gave it a 'community canteen' vibe in the literal sense."

"As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I felt the warm and thoughtful service of the proprietress and the service staff. They prepared afternoon tea for us on the day of check-in, and the food in the hotel was particularly delicious. I didn't expect that the best meal I had out of the hotel was not in a restaurant, but here. You can tell by the way we finished every dish."

"I was a bit worried after seeing some negative reviews, but it just goes to show you really need to experience it yourself. The environment is fantastic, both the room itself and the view outside the window. The room is very spacious, the bedding feels crisp and dry, and the bed is super comfortable. We chose a room with a balcony and a bathtub, and the kids didn't want to leave at all! The adults just sat by, eating, drinking, chatting, enjoying the view, and watching the kids – it was truly delightful. The service is also up to star-hotel standards. When we arrived to check in, a staff member helped us with our luggage and even took it to our room. A butler had already contacted us before check-in and we added them on WeChat. No matter what we needed, the butler was responsive and handled everything promptly. I highly recommend Butler Xiao Fang; you can look for him when you stay there. However, I do have one suggestion. The hotel offers complimentary afternoon fruit and evening desserts, but we stayed two nights and didn't get to try any of it. We were out during the day and by the time we got back to the hotel to rest, we just forgot. We'd sleep until 6 PM and just missed the fruit. Since the hotel is thoughtful enough to offer it, they could just put the fruit directly in the room."

"We had a lovely stay at Mingshi Yaju Hotel. The hotel staff were kind and accommodating. The buffet breakfast was tasty and there was enough variety to choose from. The room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The amenities inside were great too. We made use of the gym and the pool. During our second day, the hotel let us use their bicycles to explore around Mingshi. Overall the experience was relaxed and enjoyable. Unfortunately there was a little bit of construction happening nearby, but it didn’t generate too much noise and in the evening everything was quiet and peaceful. For dinner was chose not to eat at the hotel, but rather to explore the restaurants around just outside of the park area. I had a great time and would recommend to friends."

"I absolutely have to rave about the views from this hotel! We stayed in a pastoral view room, and the floor-to-ceiling windows were like a living landscape painting. The karst peaks and rice paddies stretched out directly before our eyes, and the morning mist and evening glow were breathtakingly beautiful 🖼️. The room was super smart; we could control the curtains and lights with the Xiao Du voice assistant. After a day out, it was so relaxing to lie down and enjoy the scenery. The hotel's location is superb, right in the heart of the Mingshi Pastoral Scenic Area, making it easy to go cycling or take a bamboo raft anytime. The staff provided thoughtful service, and there were even welcome fruits. This experience was almost perfect; it's an ideal vacation spot, and I'll definitely be back!"

"I booked a trip with two of my best friends to Lux Secret Retreat in Chongzuo, and the whole experience was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The most delightful surprise was the hotel's signature bamboo raft afternoon tea. Because of the heavy rain beforehand, the water level was too high, so we couldn't go. Doris from the hotel kept a close eye on the situation for me and immediately contacted me and made a reservation as soon as it was possible on our check-out day. The bamboo raft gently glided through the clear water and lush bamboo groves, with delicate refreshments and fruit drinks. As we drifted, the unique peaks on both sides slowly receded into the distance, making for fantastic photos. My friends and I chatted and admired the scenery – the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. A romantic afternoon tea combined with thoughtful service – it was all wonderful!"

"The customer service I contacted in advance was excellent and very considerate! The entire guesthouse's decor, furnishings, and amenities were all very nice, which I liked. The afternoon tea and breakfast were delicious! However, the front desk staff were very impatient, barely looking up when I asked questions. When they finally did look up, they frowned and stared at their computers before I could even finish speaking! It was a very unpleasant experience! Also, there's an extra charge of 168 yuan for two adults and one child to check into the room. I questioned this, and the reply was that it's a Ctrip policy, but I was quite tired after a long day of sightseeing, so I didn't bother arguing. I was woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of suitcases being dragged on the floor, so I logged onto Ctrip and asked customer service, who said it was free! Light sleepers shouldn't stay on the first floor!"
