Hotel Central, nestled in the vibrant heart of Macau's historic city along Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, is ideally situated near iconic landmarks such as St. Paul's Ruins and the Senado Square. Following a meticulous HK$2 billion acquisition and revitalization project, this century-old treasure was gloriously reborn in 2024. This singular century-old boutique hotel ingeniously merges a nostalgic retro aesthetic with advanced technology and eco-friendly principles, resulting in an ambiance that is both evocative of the past and refreshingly contemporary.

"This hotel offers incredible value for money! The location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from the Ruins of St. Paul's. Public transport is super convenient with a bus stop right downstairs, making it easy to get to all the attractions and borders in Macau. The hotel itself is very stylish, with great attention to detail. The service is excellent, and the staff are warm and attentive. They provide a generous selection of complimentary drinks, water, snacks, and even red wine! The night view from the platform is stunning, and the breakfast is exquisite and delicious. Overall, everything was superb! I'm so glad I chose this hotel; it made my trip to Macau incredibly satisfying. I'll definitely pick Hotel Sintra again on my next visit."

The Venetian Macao is an incredible, immersive hotel experience. 350 world-class shopping choices line a masterfully reconstructed Grand Canal, bridges spanning each bank, just as they do in Venice. An incredible array of dining options, bring guests the best of global cuisines no matter their appetite.

"This hotel delivered a full 5-star experience, and I couldn't be happier! It's super convenient to get to – we just hopped in a taxi from the ferry terminal straight to the hotel. And for our return trip to Hong Kong, there's a direct shuttle service to Tsim Sha Tsui right from the hotel lobby (the 'HK-Macau Express'), which was a great way to experience the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. The hotel is connected to The Londoner and The Parisian, so you could literally spend an entire day exploring and still not see everything. The service was excellent, and the room was incredibly spacious. With two queen-sized beds, it could easily accommodate four people. Definitely much better value for money than the 'pigeon-hole' hotels you find in Hong Kong!"

Hotels in Macau Peninsula,Macau
YOHO Treasure Island hotel, a landmark situated in the center of the transportation hub in the peninsula of Macau, boasts breathtaking views. The hotel features rooms with a sophisticated luxurious design that captures some of the most iconic landmarks, such as the stunning views of Nam Van Lake, the dazzling Nam Van Lake fountain, and the renowned Wynn fountain. As the sea meets the sky, the lake blends with the city, forming an unforgettable scenery. YOHO Treasure Island hotel provides long-stay apartment-style suites with fully equipped kitchens and washing machines, allowing you to feel at home while away. And located in the key area of Macau peninsula, the hotel is right in front of the largest bus transfer station in Macau and is connected to nearby Grand Lisboa, Hotel Lisboa, Wynn Resorts, MGM Macau, StarWorld Hotel, and Bank of China Building via pedestrian tunnels, offering convenient transportation while surrounded by stunning views. At sunset, the sunset paints the sky orange, reflecting on the lake surface, creating a romantic and beautiful scenery. When darkness falls, experience the dazzling city landscapes up close and bring home an unforgettable experience.

"Let's start with the pros, then the cons. **Pros:** The view from the window is incredibly clear, making the city views very pleasant. The bathroom has a rain shower. Both the bathroom and bedding were spotlessly clean, and the quality of the toiletries provided was excellent. The hotel itself is relatively new. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedside outlets are compatible with mainland China plugs, so no adapter is needed, and the room even provides a 3-in-1 charging cable. **Location:** The location is excellent, situated close to the old and new Grand Lisboa and Wynn (the original Wynn, not Wynn Palace). However, because the roads are wide, even though everything is on the same roundabout, it still takes about ten minutes to walk across a few streets. Families with elderly members might want to keep this in mind. If you're looking for easy access to food, it's probably better to book a hotel near Senado Square; there are several good options there. If you're not planning on hitting the casinos, a city view room offers great views of these iconic buildings. Also, just across the road is a large bus hub (as shown in the picture), which is a huge plus as you can basically get anywhere in Macau from there. The hotel offers shuttle buses to other hotels and major border gates, and taxis are easy to find. Personally, I think staying in the old district is more convenient than Taipa for city walks; within 1-4 km, you can explore many historical sites, small shops, and local eateries. Macau is small, so taxis are convenient everywhere. The starting fare is MOP 25, and from Qingmao Port to here, it was MOP 76. **Floors:** The front desk is on the basement level (B1), so there's a distinction between the 'Hotel Lobby' (L floor) and the 'Entrance Lobby' (G floor). Taxis and food deliveries drop off at the Entrance Lobby (G floor). **Price:** For reference, I stayed in April on a weekday, in a city view fountain room, and it cost between RMB 600-700 including tax. **Cons:** The room didn't have a 'do not disturb' sign or light. When I smelled smoke, both the front desk and housekeeping phones went unanswered. The wardrobe doors were covered in grease stains and fingerprints from previous guests; housekeeping might only do basic cleaning and overlooked these 'public' areas of the cabinet. The soundproofing is indeed very poor. If anyone walks by in the corridor or talks at a normal volume, it sounds very loud in the room. When housekeeping cleans the rooms upstairs or on either side, and their mops hit the walls, it causes serious disturbance in the room (as shown in the video recording), making it feel like the walls are hollow. Ironically, the glass windows are well soundproofed; despite the busy roundabout downstairs with constant traffic, I couldn't hear any outside noise. A major negative point is that the hotel doesn't manage its non-smoking policy effectively. The elevators smelled like a KTV lounge, and the corridors had a pervasive smoky carpet smell. Passing by one room, three men walked out, and the smell of smoke from inside was nauseating. The 11th floor is supposed to be non-smoking, but I frequently smelled smoke in the corridor, and once, the smoke smell from the corridor directly entered my room. I opened my door to complain to the staff but noticed that even though staff members were present, they seemed to ignore the situation. Later, I complained to the duty manager in the lobby, who was also quite helpless, stating it was an issue of guest etiquette, and they could only check for smoke smell upon checkout and fine the departed guests if found. This doesn't solve the problem at all, leaving non-smoking, rule-abiding guests like us as the victims. When I went to the front desk for an inquiry, I saw a male staff member there who was very perfunctory when another guest approached with a question, not even looking up, which was very rude, almost like a roadside shop assistant dealing with someone asking for directions. Overall, despite claiming to be a five-star hotel, the management seems quite disorganized."

"We came from the Wanzai Ferry Terminal, and it was about a seven or eight-minute walk from the ferry to the hotel, which was quite convenient. The hotel is a bit older, but the environment, cleanliness, and service are all up to par. There's a bus stop right outside, making it easy to get to Taipa and the Gongbei Port. What I loved most was strolling through the charming backstreets and alleys from the hotel to the Ruins of St. Paul's. It felt so authentic, full of local life, and there were tons of unique specialty foods and snacks. This trip to Macau, these local experiences were truly what impressed me the most."

"We chose the Cotai view room at Studio City for our honeymoon in Macau, and we could see the Eiffel Tower. Studio City has a shuttle bus, which made it very convenient to get directly from the airport to the hotel lobby. The hotel service was incredibly thoughtful. I had emailed them in advance with my requests, and they met all of them: a non-smoking room and a high-floor room with a tower view. The room view was excellent, and we received complimentary fruit and snacks (drinks in the mini-fridge were free, and snacks were replenished daily). Knowing it was our honeymoon, the hotel decorated the room beforehand and even surprised us with roses and a chocolate cake – it felt very special. The Eiffel Tower view was even more spectacular at night. Our view room offered a panoramic vista of Cotai's bustling cityscape, and we could even spot the Londoner's Big Ben. We also tried Studio City's Golden Reel Ferris wheel, and the night view from there was fantastic. The hotel's amenities are comprehensive. The Don Quijote on the first floor was very convenient for shopping; you could find a wide variety of Japanese bentos and snacks there, and we went almost every day. The hotel breakfast had a good variety and was generally quite nice, plus there were many other dining options available, which was very convenient. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay!"

"Welcome roses 🌹, overall clean and tidy. The location is super convenient, whether you prefer walking or taking public transport. You can easily walk to many delicious, affordable Michelin-starred restaurants in the old town. The owner must be an artist, there are many prints around. The toiletries smell great and work well. However, I'd suggest changing the slippers as flip-flops aren't comfortable for everyone. Overall, pretty good!"

The hotel is conveniently located a short 4km drive from Macau International Airport. Being just minutes away from Union Hospital Metro Station allows guests to explore the city with ease. There's plenty to do nearby, with House of Dancing Water, Kids' City and The Parisian Macao all within a short distance. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"First of all, the 7th floor of the Eiffel Tower is free to enter, so the 'free entry' voucher offered by the merchant was meaningless. When checking in, Calrin upgraded our room and gave chocolates to the children. However, the staff helping with luggage when we checked out had a bad attitude and wouldn't open the trunk for us, which immediately soured the experience. The hotel also had an overpowering perfume smell."

"I booked a two bedroom hotel for my baby's birthday, it was just a simple celebration, I just invited a few friends, the room was spacious, beautiful and clean. There is a small living room for guests. There is also a bus stop near the hotel and a convenience store in the lobby, but the prices are just higher than the supermarkets outside, so if I were you, you should bring some snacks, drinks and food when you go there.."

Lisboeta has 574 guestrooms and suites, with the interior design that evoking 1960s Macau, enhanced with modern twists to traditional elements such as the folding doors of Macau traditional store and old Macau images to reflect the evolution of Macau from the past to present.

"Location: It's quite remote. There's only a shuttle bus from Hengqin Port, and it picks up at exit H after customs. It's a small mini-bus, and it runs on a schedule, so remember to ask the hotel for the times and stops in advance. Although they say you can catch the Grand Lisboa shuttle, it's definitely inconvenient to walk a distance with luggage. Facilities and Hygiene: The room was quite spacious, and the facilities were decent. Adapters were provided, but the view was pretty bad. Many of the shops downstairs haven't been leased yet, so it's not suitable for those who want to spend time at the hotel. Food: I specifically bought and brought breakfast with me. Although there were three restaurants to choose from, they were all incredibly disappointing. The variety and quality were ridiculously limited, not even comparable to a Hanting Hotel in China. Summary: If you're looking for something cheap and just need a place to sleep, you can consider it. But if you want to relax at the hotel and enjoy good food, then don't choose this one. There's no pool, limited dining options, nothing to explore, and no convenient transportation."

GGuest UserTrue to the Galaxy name, we got free access to the 'Kids' Club' at Galaxy, and the little ones had a blast, they didn't want to leave! The disposable toiletries were all high-end, and since we had kids, the staff even thoughtfully provided special children's shower gel. The outdoor pool downstairs is heated, which is something many hotels don't offer. Unfortunately, by the time we found out, it was almost evening, so we didn't get a chance to swim. The kids are already saying they want to stay at this hotel again next time!

GGuest UserThe location is excellent! It's right next to Wynn, which usually has the mesmerizing 'Tree of Prosperity' and 'Performance Lake' shows (though I missed them this time due to maintenance). Across the street is the Grand Lisboa. It's about an 800-meter walk to major attractions like the Ruins of St. Paul's and St. Dominic's Church. On the way to St. Dominic's, you'll pass Chee Kei Egg Waffles – you absolutely *must* try one, they're the best I've ever had! Most of the attractions on the Macau Peninsula are within walking distance or just a few bus stops away. If you're not planning on visiting The Londoner or Venetian, this is the perfect place to stay. It's also about a 700-meter walk to MGM, where you should definitely try their complimentary bubble tea; it's quite good!

GGuest UserThis is my third stay here, and Grand Lisboa is definitely the GOAT of Macau! Everything from the facilities to the service is absolutely top-notch. The location is excellent, perfect for exploring the peninsula on foot. The hotel lobby is always bustling with tourists during the day. The kids absolutely loved the jetted bathtub, and the toiletries are fantastic. The view from the sea-view room window is also amazing.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for one night. The environment was good, located in a bustling area right next to a large shopping mall, with plenty of food, drinks, and entertainment downstairs. The hotel itself was relatively quiet. The room was quite small and not very big, and the facilities were a bit old. Although it could accommodate three people with two beds and a sofa bed, it was still quite damp in March, and the air conditioning was noisy. It was convenient to walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's and get around everywhere.

SSuperDave374 Stars — Great Location and Excellent Staff We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Sintra. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, which made our visit feel welcoming from the start. The location is truly outstanding — we were able to walk to the Ruins of St. Paul’s, the historic Macau district, and even Fisherman’s Wharf, which is about a 30‑minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in the area, and New Yaohan department store, with its convenient supermarket, is only a two‑minute walk from the hotel. The free shuttle buses to the Londoner, Parisian, and Venetian were also a great bonus. The only drawbacks were related to the building’s age. Our room’s sink was cracked, and some of the finishing felt dated. There are only two elevators serving 14 floors, so they can get busy during peak times. Also, there are no free shuttle buses to or from the airport or the TurboJet terminal, which would have made arrivals and departures more convenient. Overall, Hotel Sintra offers excellent value thanks to its unbeatable location and warm service. With a bit of updating, it could easily be a five‑star experience.

ZZailvtuzhongdelaoliuThe lobby seating area on the first floor felt a bit small, with only a few chairs. However, the rooms are very spacious, especially for Macau standards. The hallways and elevators were clean and tidy. The room service staff on the sixth floor were very enthusiastic. I booked two non-smoking rooms, but one of them had a strong cigarette smell upon check-in. I called room service, and they quickly brought an air freshener to deal with it, although a slight odor lingered.

LLiluThe Grand Emperor Hotel in Macau generally feels a bit dated, with facilities showing their age and a more traditional, practical style. However, the hotel staff are quite helpful and can meet basic needs. Its location is convenient for getting around, and the value for money is decent. It's a suitable choice for travelers who prioritize convenience and aren't too particular about modern decor.

LLeisureXplorerHotel is old and tired, need renovation badly. However room is clean and tidy. Reception service was so-so and not welcoming. Check-in was good though, just the night time when approached another receptionist for my own room number but was given a cold and not welcoming reply. It was normal for guest to forget their own room numbers as they don’t stay permanently. However a simple way to verify was guest able to give his identity numbers and name. Or hotel can always accompany the guest to the room to verify. However this guy was so unpleasant and blunt in his replied. Will not stay again in this hotel.
