"I booked the cheapest room, but it still came with central air conditioning, which was nice. The pool was also quite large. The only downside was that there seemed to be some construction or renovation happening outside. It was very convenient to walk out for meals or to the pier. After a day out at sea, coming back to sleep there at night was perfect. It's great value for money. I didn't take any pictures of the room, so here are some from Maya Bay instead."

"Check in was a breeze with luggage handlers helping carry your luggage from the pier to the hotel. The reception girls are really lovely and helpful with whatever request you might have(like booking boats to your next destination), just remember to say please and thank you(kohp khun ka/krap). The hotel is the last one on the pier side bay, therefore is really quiet, even now in high season. The down low is that you have to walk 20minutes to restaurants and bars on 30+ degree heat + high humity,so expect to arrive sweating both ways. The hotel itself is probably 40/50 years old and seems that never been renovated, the inside of the rooms need freshing up,paint etc...an overall renovation of the whole building. Although the rooms were clean, aircon was good and our room with the pool access(1 of 3) had great views from the bay. Pool was also clean and it was at a good temperature. If you are here for just a couple of days it is fine. Breakfast is basic but they have an egg station, so you can order your eggs however you prefer. And the black coffee was great too(better than other hotels we stayed in Bangkok/Krabi). The hotel staff were very kind to supply my wife with Flying Rabbit(a local thai version of gaviscon/diarrhoea medicine) which helped a mild food poisoning combined with charcoal tablets. Moreover, the hotel has a little private beach with sun lounges at the very end of the bay, perfect for chilling when you don't have any boat trips booked for the morning. Be aware that it becomes shady after around 3pm because its so close to the mountain. Also there were monkeys signs on your doors to keep them lock to prevent curious monkeys of rummaging through your stuff but we haven't seen any during our 3 night stay. Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably not unless completely renovated:, too far from the restaurants and bars and very old/tired. Make sure you use some walking shoes when going out because you definitely gonna hit that 10000 steps mark."

"The hotel is brand new and absolutely beautiful! The room was quite spacious and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It's located close to the pier and the beach. Everything was impeccably clean. We forgot to hang the 'please clean' sign, and the staff left a bag with water and fresh towels by our door, which was a thoughtful touch. The delicious breakfasts were a pleasant surprise, especially since they weren't mentioned on the website. A special thanks to the staff. The hotel exceeded all expectations!"

"Great location, easy to access the whole town but not noisy. The staff were friendly and helpful, our bags were carried to our room and there is also a pier collection service. However we weren't aware of this so made our own way to the hotel so be sure to ask! The bed is clean, comfortable and big! Water, tea and coffee everyday with room clean if needed. The drain in our shower was blocked when we arrived but we reported this and it was swiftly fixed. There is a small communal area downstairs for games, reading, drinks with friends etc but it's never loud/busy. There is also a night manager who is available in the front lobby throughout the night which I really liked and made me feel safe. He has excellent English and is kind and helpful. Be aware that you must have a 1k Baht cash deposit on check in. We had no issues getting it back at checkout. (Unrelated note: The hotel is nearby to a great trip operator - book the early bird Maya Bay trip with Sawsdee Phi Phi, you won't regret it. We also booked our ferry through him and it all went smoothly and much cheaper than GYG or 12Go.)"

"Facilities: The garden villa room is spacious enough, with extra beds available in both the living room and bedroom, which was very convenient for our family of two adults and two children. The large balcony dried clothes quickly. However, the room was a bit old, the air conditioner was noisy, and the bathroom door creaked loudly every time it opened or closed. Service: We requested a room close to the snorkeling area in our booking, and they gave us a spot right in the middle of it, which was great. Upon arrival, we received welcome juice and a detailed resort explanation presented kneeling, a very nice touch. Food was delivered to the room, and overall, the service attitude was excellent. Environment: The resort has abundant vegetation and is quite expansive, making you feel like you're staying in a forest. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes; after lying by the pool for a short while, I ended up with seven bites on my back. Every morning around 5 or 6 am, you can hear monkeys, various large birds, and boats, making it difficult to sleep in. Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well. Aside from that: On our first day, we went out to a restaurant recommended by reviews, and our whole family ended up with food poisoning, spending two days recuperating at the hotel. Before leaving the island, I felt a bit disappointed and decided to check out the underwater situation. Luckily, I spotted Nemo! Nemo's location: From the restaurant, walk along the beach to the first beachfront room with a pool. Enter the water and look about 1 meter outside the right side of the floating buoy area, as circled in the picture. The anemone isn't very big, only about 20 centimeters, so you'll need to look carefully."

"This is my third year in a row staying here. It's a two-story building with good rooms and a super comfortable bed, plus a pool. It's not beachfront, but it's only a 5-minute walk to the sea, which is actually better because there are no crowds of tourists. It's very quiet. Breakfasts are available. We even saw an iguana on the property!"

"The best hotel in Thailand. We suffered for the first 3 night in another hotel on Phi Phi and we couldn’t sleep coz of the loud noises from the beach parties but then we moved to U Rip and it was th best decision ever - clean, new, SILENCE, nice pool and great area far from the parties. But still accessible coz it is like 15 min walk. Totally recommend especially if you are a light sleeper 👌"

"The resort is really a good place to stay and that's why we enjoyed it to the fullest. Their breakfast was an American buffet and it was good. They also took care of my vegetarian and dietary requirements, so the food was enjoyable. Amenities were good too, including the swimming pool, garden, a library and there were different cafes and restaurants where one could enjoy a meal when hungry. You could rent a kayak as well for 300 baht for two hours, which I found a bit unreasonable. The beach outside the resort was really good. Cleaning was not up to the mark as the cleaning staff would leave the used tissues and tea bags as it is on the table if they were not thrown into the basket already. I am not proud of saying that I did not throw them, but if I forgot somehow I would find them in the same place, which was annoying. Anyway, overall it was a great experience."

"The hallway had a bit of an odor, which was definitely noticeable, but by 9 or 10 PM, the music volume had significantly lowered. Overall, it's decent value for money, but I'm really curious why there are 'no sexy activities' signs plastered all over the front desk, terms and conditions, and bathrooms. What exactly happened here?"
