Trieste Art Loft

I stayed at Trieste Art Loft for one night with my boyfriend for a short stay in Trieste, visiting Trieste Photo Days. Excellent guesthouse. The room was very clean and well-furnished. The room also features a mezzanine level, where there's an additional bed, in addition to the double bed and a coffee table with complimentary coffee and biscuits. I loved the room's decor. The bathroom is spacious and ensuite (private). The host was super kind and helpful. The property is a 5-minute walk from the station. I parked my car for free in the area surrounding the property (a 5-minute walk); just be patient and find a spot without having to pay for parking. If I were to return to Trieste, I would gladly stay at your property again.

Wir waren im "Blauen Zimmer". Der Loft-Charakter war O.K., die Möblierung mit Futon-Betten o. vglb. spartanisch, keine gemütliche Sitzgelegenheit (1 Stuhl und oben zwei Kaffee-Haus-Stühle an einem winzigen Bistro-Tisch). Gemeinschaftsküche, in der man nicht kochen durfte (noch nicht einmal ein Frühstücks-Ei), auch hier nur eine Minimal-Ausstattung, wenig Geschirr, wenig Besteck. Frühstücken mussten wir daher außerhalb. Spülmaschine vorhanden, aber ohne Tabs. Minimaler Schallschutz zum Eingangsbereich bzw. zur Gemeinschaftsküche (recycelte Industrie-Türe). Da im EG gelegen, war es sehr dunkel im Zimmer, das Wetter draußen konnte man nur ahnen. Wegen der vorbeilaufenden Leute musste zudem ständig die Jalousie (gefaltetes Papier) geschlossen bleiben. Daher musste ständig das Licht brennen. Fenster öffnen wegen des extremen Verkehrslärms (Autos rasen in ca. 3-4 m Entfernung die enge, daher laute Straße hinunter...) nur in den tiefsten Nachtstunden möglich. Fazit: nur die Lage und die hinter dem Konzept stehende Idee sind O.K.

Antique lighthouse lamps now illuminate the common areas, and the old stained-glass windows, used as headboards, ensure an extremely quiet sleep. The thick tuff walls maintain a constant and comfortable indoor climate year-round. The room doors and interior furnishings, made from antique knockers, evoke images of times gone by and immerse visitors in fascinating stories of times gone by. Upon returning in the evening or waking in the morning, a powerful yet comfortable shower in the ensuite bathroom restores a pleasant sense of vitality, perfect for relaxing or preparing for a new tour of the city and its surroundings, all easily accessible just a few meters from the central station. The kindness and attentiveness of the owners complete a delightful stay in this enchanting place.

Unfortunately, we left out of desperation. Parking is nonexistent. When we arrived at the apartment, we found some people with a dog. The dog suddenly barked, and my half-asleep son was scared. We noticed the bathroom door had glass so we could see who was inside and what they were doing. We left without wanting to know anything else. Finally, we wrote to the manager explaining the reasons why we left without staying. The manager responded 10 days later, saying we knew everything, without even apologizing for the inconvenience, and without offering any refunds. That night, while looking for accommodation, we found a solution 100 times better with extremely kind staff, and at the best price. An experience to forget! A nightmare!
