Beyond the family triple room, I also booked a single king room for myself for the last two days, so I'll focus on my positive experience during that stay. I was particularly impressed by the male staff member at the Hanting's main reception and a female staff member with a super-short, boyish haircut. Their service was excellent, and they were very efficient at solving guest issues. On the last two days, when the male staff member was helping me, he thoughtfully realized that the king room was booked by a solo female traveler. He then had the short-haired female staff member, who was already off duty, assist me, and even gave me a fruit plate and special Datong tea (see picture 6). When checking out, a male staff member at the breakfast station gave me a bottle of Datong vinegar. I'm very grateful for how they enhanced my Datong trip. However, it's worth noting that while the Hanting staff are capable, perhaps they shouldn't be overly friendly, especially when it might lead to a few idle female colleagues with long hair at the front desk not pulling their weight. Some of these long-haired colleagues don't actually do much, are even lacking in basic polite greetings, yet one tried to take credit and asked me to cooperate with her during my check-out. It was quite tactless and undermined the hard work of her colleagues. Perhaps some additional training for the female long-haired staff at the main reception would be beneficial.

My stay at Hanting Hotel was excellent, and I wholeheartedly give it a five-star rating across the board. The hotel boasts a superb location, right next to Datong Railway Station, offering extremely convenient transport links for travelers making transfers. It's also incredibly easy to reach major attractions like Datong Ancient City, just a ten-minute drive away, making it simple to explore local sights. The guest rooms are well-arranged and exceptionally clean, with complete amenities. The quiet and comfortable living environment helps you unwind after a long journey. The hotel breakfast is thoughtfully prepared, featuring a rich variety of fresh ingredients that are both delicious and nutritious, catering to diverse palates. Thanks to the standardized service of a chain hotel, the entire experience was smooth and pleasant. Its overall quality is highly reliable, making it a top choice for anyone staying in Datong.

This hotel offers an excellent overall experience! It's right next to the train station, making travel incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and handled all our requests promptly, and the housekeeping aunties were also very friendly. The room was spacious, clean, and well soundproofed, ensuring a quiet and comfortable stay. All the in-house facilities were comprehensive and very convenient for daily use. The breakfast was outstanding and very satisfying. All things considered, the location, service, environment, and food were all impeccable. It offers great value for money and I highly recommend it for your travels and accommodation.

I extended my stay because the service at Hanting is excellent. The front desk staff, housekeeping, and restaurant staff all worked incredibly hard to provide the best possible service. Everyone I encountered was so friendly and enthusiastic. I was really touched. I'll definitely choose Hanting again next time I'm in Datong.

Really liked it! The room type was great and spacious. Getting around was convenient too; it's very close to the train station, just a few minutes by taxi. The front desk service was excellent as well.

Right next to Datong Train Station, very easy to find, and the room was super clean! The breakfast spread was also great, and the front desk offered complimentary bottled water. It was so convenient to grab a bottle on the way out and not have to look for a place to buy water! Absolutely fantastic!!
