We stayed at the Commodore in Zakynthos from 27 July to 3 August 2022, booked through an agency in Rome choosing this property from the Eden catalogue, I repeat Eden, which should be a guarantee but this was not the case. There were 4 of us: me, my partner and our 16 year old daughters. It was a nightmare! There are so many things to point out that I don't know where to start. When we arrived, even though we had booked for about 2 months, they didn't have our reservation, so we had to wait about 6 hours before they sorted it out and found us a room; Solution: 1 room for 5 people to be changed mid-week or 2 separate rooms for the entire stay, we choose the second option to avoid "moving" once the holiday has begun. The girls' room is quite large, ours is tiny, I had to put my suitcase on the bedside table otherwise it wasn't possible to move around the bed; For both rooms the bathrooms were UNLOOKABLE, hospital bathrooms are far better. Small, old, with a false ceiling with plastic slats, a tiny shower with an obscene, dirty, yellowed curtain that the more you tried to avoid the more it stuck to you during the shower, disgusting! I still get chills thinking about it. Second day the towels were not changed, the answer is that in a week they are changed 2 times, so the hotel manager decided! Third day, upon returning from an excursion at 7.30 pm, we find both rooms not made up, we ask for explanations but they don't give us any, they don't know what happened and they tell us that we are not the only ones to have had this problem, we have to ask 3 times because someone come and clean them. After this episode we contact our agency in Rome which tries to intercede with Eden, we also start calling the two numbers provided to us. A local one turns out to be non-existent and 1 in Italy to which Eden will never respond. We call the Eden assistant who welcomed us at the airport, he tells us that nothing can be done about the towels and he will point it out for the lack of cleaning. It will basically do nothing to help us! That same evening we send a detailed email with everything that happened to the agency, all evidenced by photos, the agency will forward it to Eden. In the following days we were contacted by Eden Italia and the area manager. They offer us a new room worse than the other two, the girls' beds were in a corridor without air conditioning, we refuse because we really feel cheated. Eden tells us that he will urge the hotel to pay more attention to our rooms. You basically have to weaponize a war for more attention that should be the standard?! To have a change of towels which obviously didn't happen for the whole week and daily cleaning?!
